    Thank You for your Great Answers :); and the Insight to How Others Prepare Psychologically :cool:;
    Indeed I do Follow Some of these Guidelines Liambo my Friend :D;
    I Suffer from a Personality Disorder (Non-Treatable); and so my ‘Preparation’ is Very Meticulous :);
    When I do my Radio Shows; Produce; Compose; or Master; my Laptop Must be Positioned Absolutely and Directly in front of my Face; so that 80% of my ‘Eye-Span’ is filled with my Laptop’s Screen; I Turn Off All Email and Internet; so that I Cannot be Disturbed; my Coffee is to my Right; my Cigarettes to my Left (with my Medication); and my Ash-Tray under my Chin; Currently I am Not Happy with my Headphones; but don’t have the Cash to Replace Them;
    I Always Use Ableton now; though I have Access to Traktor Pro 2; and Many Other VST/Stand Alone Synths; so that when I sit in front of my Laptop I can DJ; Compose; Produce; or do anything really; as my Laptop is my ….
    Beat Laboratory :D;
    I Never Eat during the day Before I sit down to Work; and I Only Eat once I have Finished; I Make Sure that at some point during the day I have taken some time out to Relax; and Allow my Right Brain to Become Active;
    I Practice Every Day; and this happens between 7pm (ish) and 2am (ish); if I Achieve Something it is Great; but if I haven’t Achieved Anything Tangible; it is Okay; as I Feel that ‘The Ritual’ is Necessary to Maintain Standards :);
    Obviously I haven’t talked about ‘Live Gigs’; but that is just because my Current Health Condition doesn’t Allow it;
    However; when I was last out on ‘Stage’; I was Exactly like you Liambo; I ‘Need’ Everything to Look Right; and for Everything to be at my ‘Hands/Fingers’ Disposal;
    Clearly I Don’t Have A Life right now; but I Respect that Others Do 🙂

    Thank You Paul;
    I Must try and Understand how I can attach my YouTube and Soundcloud Accounts to my Signature so they look ‘Nice’ rather than just a Long URL; then you will just be able to ‘Click’ and hear my Music 🙂

    This is Great Phil :);
    However I seem to remember a time when we had Access on the DDDT Website to an ‘Archive’ of Articles; that doesn’t seem to be there anymore ?
    I don’t Understand much about Bandwith; but is there an Archive for the Articles ?

    Yes; I can Understand those Feelings Completely;
    And I think it is Important to Continue the way you are going until you Feel ‘Ready’; or your Confidence has Built up enough; which can happen in a couple of ways;
    The First would be Confidence in Yourself and your Ability; as this would put you in a position where you ‘Know You Are Good’; and the Main thing is the Feelings about Yourself; … when you do a Great Mix/Transition between 2 Tracks Congratulate Yourself and Tell Yourself you are getting ‘Better And Better’ :);
    The Second (could be) to DJ with Small Groups of people; such as your Friends; at a Party; or Barbeque; but try to make it so You Know Everybody there; and that will put you More At Ease :);
    I see you have a YouTube Channel; you could try putting some 10 minute mixes up on there; and you could also join Soundcloud as they allow you 2 Hours of Space; by doing this you can DJ at Home; and not feel Rushed into becoming a Public DJ 🙂

    There is no need to be Shy; I am probably Older than you so may have been doing it longer :);
    That is Brilliant that you Recognise your Musical Creativity; and that you able to Express it; that is Great News :cool:;
    And you already Know what you Love Most in your DJ’ing; that is the Key; as Many People Want to be a DJ but just don’t know how to Approach it; and Ampero would be a Great Tutor 🙂

    I think that the ‘Distance’ between a ‘Good DJ’ and a ‘Great DJ’ is Very Large;
    As if Depicted in a Series of Loops in a Chain;

    I think a ‘Great DJ’ is a person who can be handed 10 Tracks (of Varying Genres and BPM); and Mix them Seamlessly;
    However; some may see Armin Van Buuren as the ‘Top Link’ in the Chain; where for me he does Nothing;
    If he were to Mix a Jazz Funk Set on the other hand I may look at him Differently;
    There is No Doubt that there have been ‘Greats’ such as Jeff Mills; but I Feel that a Range Of Genres have to be Mastered before anyone can be Considered as ‘Great’;
    But that is just my ‘Personal Opinion’; and of course this Opens Up another Avenue to this Thread;
    ‘People’ have ‘Opinions’ on ‘Who Is Great’; but does that ‘Make That DJ Great’;
    Tiesto and Van Buuren could Probably (and Probably Do) Fill the Biggest Stadiums in the World; and they have a ‘Massive Fan Base’; but ‘Why’; the Answer is their ‘Brand’ (as with David Beckham); but that doesn’t make them ‘Great’ or even ‘Good DJ’s’; (I Love McDonalds because I have seen that Big Yellow Sign since I was a Young Child); but for Nutrition the Food is Very Likely to be Awful;
    The General Public become ‘Conditioned’ into Believing/Brainwashed that ‘This is Good’; and ‘This is Great’;

    I Understand that I have put myself ‘Out There’ to be Attacked with this Post;
    But; my Honest Feelings about the Matter; are these;
    If You Think You Are Great; You Are Great 😎
