MemberHello Mark π
I won’t Debate on what you said; but it is Certainly an Interesting Topic :);
A Lot of the Earlier Part of this Year (on Recommendation); I was just throwing a Limiter on the Master Channel of All my Tracks so they wouldn’t Clip; but since getting some New Headphones I realised almost Instantly how much Degradation there was to the Actual Sound Quality with a Limiter on there;
So now; I am Mixing at -0.6db and my Tracks are not Clipping; and the Sound Quality is Tons Better πEmma Partnow

No Problems Benny; Many Apologies for getting involved in something I really don’t know much about π

MemberHello Haroon π
I am Very Sorry; but I thought you were linkng to a Digital Tips Page; my Mistake :oops:;
But the Article you Linked to; that I have just read; is Very Interesting as it gives Pros & Cons for Each Category; Personal; Fan; and Group; which is Cool;
The Disadvantages for Each Choice of the Facebook Pages sound Unfortunately Off-Putting πThe bottom line is that the profile page is best for interacting, the fan page is best for unlimited contacts and targeting updates, and the group is best for getting information to your friendsβ inboxes.
The Above Information (Quoted from the Article); gives Each Choice an Advantage; but it Depends on
‘What You Wish To Achieve’;
For Me; The Personal Page could be ‘Used’ as a Starting Point for your ‘Fan Page’; by ‘Hoping’ that a Number of Friends on your ‘Personal Page’ would Also be Interested in your ‘Fan Page’; and so; Anybody New to your Fan Page would Feel Much Happier to click ‘Like’ if you already Have a Following (from your Friends);
The Fan Pages (I have clicked maybe 4 in total I think); are (or at least the ones I have seen) Incredibly Impersonal; and it Feels like my ‘Click’ is just Another ‘Number’; and I could be ‘Anybody’; this Feeling has in fact put me off Clicking Any Other Pages (although I would Support Anybody on this Forum :));
For the Group Page; I am a Member of almost 200 Groups on SoundCloud; and I use them Exhaustively; checking out at least 2 of the Groups Daily; there is ‘Always’ something to ‘Do’ on a Group Page;
And for your Followers; whichever Option you Choose; having ‘Something To Do’ on your Page is a Great Thing :);I am Very Impressed with the last piece of the Article (which Mimics the DDJT Article to some Extent);
More tips for promoting and managing your page(s)

And so for your Gain; I would Definitely Study the Tips given there πο»Ώ

You have an Absolute Dream coming your way then Mills; as No Other Halo Game has Touched the First One π

MemberHello Haroon :);
Without reading the Article (which I Remember Well); Phil said it was Extremely Important to have an ‘Artist Page’ where people press ‘Like’; rather than a Personal Facebook Page to Promote ‘Yourself and Your Business’; as this looks More Professional and enables ‘Fans’ to keep up with Regular Events or Posts Directly Related to ‘You’; rather than trying to Scoll through Lots of Posts from Friends or Family Members; which Doesn’t Look Professional;
If you type a ‘Big Name’ that you like into Google it is ‘Possible’ that they may have a ‘Facebook Fan Page’; and then you can take a look at ‘How’ they are Representing Themselves and their Business πEmma Partnow
Memberyournamehere, post: 3708 wrote: The better question is “What crowd are you working?”
Yes; this Question is Directly Related to ‘The Crowd’ you are ‘Attempting To Please’; if it were Possible to get a More Specific Reference to ‘Which Crowd’; there are a Number of Different Answers we could Suggest π

The madden games have been the only games that I can play on a consistent basis, and I look shooters like unreal tournament and halo. I’m anxiously awaiting Diablo 3 as well.
I Love Halo π
And I Understand they are bringing ‘Halo: Combat Evolved’ (Updated and Revamped) from the XBOX to the XBOX 360; which will be Awesome πEmma Partnow

MemberBenny Mackney, post: 3675 wrote: You don’t need any fancy gear. Anyone who says you do is (to put it bluntly) full of rubbish. My “studio” most of the time consists of my laptop, Ableton Live and my headphones. I’ve got a MIDI keyboard which is very fun to play with and some nanoPads which make drum programming a little smoother, and an external sound card for studio quality output, but I don’t *need* this to make music. All you need is some software that will take in instructions of some sort and spit a nice sound file out the other end (and a bit of dedication, of course).
What you need to do is get yourself demos of Ableton Live, FL Studio, Reason, and grab a few free software packages like MuLab Free and LMMS. Try them all out, find one that fits your style (I use Ableton because it’s the one I’m most comfortable with). If you really like the non-free software packages, buy them. No matter what anyone tells you, there is no “best” software package. For example, a lot of people will tell you that FL Studio is a toy, but Porter Robinson got famous with it. It’s all about what suits you the best.
You won’t need to buy any hardware for a while. MIDI instruments or other controllers do let you play with your software a bit more and they can help you get creative, but you won’t need them. Soundcards are generally only needed if you’re doing studio stuff (recording live instruments or vocals, splitting to multiple monitor channels, etc.). If you’re an absolute audiophile with a sound-proofed studio in the basement, then maybe a high-quality card will be useful, though you’d probably be fine with any laptop headphone jack.
A Magical Post Benny :cool:;
Any Free DJ Software (not Illegal Downloads – there actually is Free DJ Software available) Pierre; will give you the Opportunity to Explore DJ’ing on your PC; No Sound Card or Controller Needed for this; just You; your PC Keyboard; and some MP3 Files; and then; if you Enjoy It; take the Next Step; which would be looking at Demo’s of the More Advanced Software (although Reason isn’t for DJ’ing); Happy DJ’ing π -
