Yes I am Absolutely Certain Christopher; and it was 35,000 English Pounds not US/Canadian Dollars;
He was Laughed Off The Planet and had to Withdraw the Offer; but the Web Page was up for at least 3 Months;
I will Never Forget the day I saw this Advertisement from him; as from that moment on (having Revered Him in the Past); he was Relegated in my View to just a Money Grabber (which was Very Unfortunate);Emma Partnow

I’ve discovered this craft about a year now, and i keep learning more and more about it everyday, mainly by trial and error and also by keep coming back here to read and learn. About that, I just wish i could somehow give something in return for the outstanding work of Phil and everyone that keeps coming here to share opinions, toughs and experiences, the stuff that I keep learning here is priceless.
A few months ago, Phil kindly published a text I sent him; I still stand for everything I’ve written there, i really do; if you like, you can check it here: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2011/03/laptop-djing-in-bars/
Since that post, I’ve had some gigs (including a major train wreck and a very cool episode), but more important I keep having more and more fun with it, so great ๐

A Great and Informative Read Phil; but to say (I Quote);
“This is not DJing but a blend of DJing and production (Ableton). Itโs great, but there arenโt even any waves to ride, so it must be disqualified from this discussion.”
Is Not Really Fair Within The Discussion of ‘Waveriding’; as it is Completely Possible; and Actually a Significant Process whilst DJ’ing Live with Ableton; Not ‘Everybody’ who uses Ableton Sets Up their ‘Cue Points’; or uses Any ‘Cheats’ to Enable an ‘Easier Ride’ whilst DJ’ing; Some DJ’s (including Myself) Rely on Waveforms as Secondary to the Actual ‘Sound’ we are ‘Hearing’; and I have yet to see a Better Software Programme that Offers you a Larger and More Distinct View Of The Waveform; I would Much Rather see a Plain Black Waveform at 8 Inches Tall; than Any Coloured Waveform of Less Than An InchEmma Partnow

MemberHello Mills ๐
Paul Oakenfold was Offering a DJ Course Online in 2010 for 35,000 English Pounds :eek:;
But; to answer your Question More Respectfully; Unfortunately ‘Nobody’ will Tell You Everything ‘They Know’ through Fear of you ‘Taking Their Job’ in the Future;
I also think it would be a Wonderful thing to have a Person Teach You ‘What They Know’ (or are Willing To Share); and I Believe there are probably people out there who ‘Believe’ They Have The Skills and Will Happily Charge you;
But the Truth is; when I bought my CDDJ Decks I didn’t even know ‘How To Operate’ them; but I knew from listening to DJ’s on the Radio that these ‘Hero’s’ of mine got from One CD to another CD ‘Some How’; and I had to do the Same (Some How); and it Literally was ‘Trial and Error’
At that time; if there was YouTube I didn’t know anything about it; so had no Reference Point Visually to Follow;
The Main thing I Learned from the Radio was the 1:2:3:4 of the Kick Drums had to Line Up (Somehow :));But; I am Happy to Teach Anyone Anything (apart from ‘The Secrets’) about DJ’ing; but of course as I mentioned earlier; I can Only Teach ‘What I Know’; and another person would Teach You ‘What They Know’;
On my YouTube Channel I have built up Playlists containing Hundreds of Videos about DJ’ing; and I am Always Adding to these Playlists (they are Public Playlists); however; we can Never Know Enough; and I only Learned the Potential of an Auto Filter Two Weeks Ago; and I have been DJ’ing for 10 Years;
The Whole Point of this Rambling Reply that isn’t really going Anywhere;
Is that ‘The Most Important’ thing is for you to get from One Track to Another Track; and Once you have done that; you Practice with a Different Track; But; Always (in the Beginning) use Tracks with the Same BPM; and if Possible; within the Same Genre; and then; Once You have Built Some Confidence in Yourself and Your Abilities; you start Twiddling With Knobs to see not only ‘What They Do; but ‘If’ the Knobs can Improve Your Performance :);
One Major thing with DJ’ing that I have Learned is that ‘Our Personal Learning Curve Cannot Be ‘Rushed’ ๐
Whatever Software or Hardware you Choose to Use; I can Guarantee to you that DJ’ing is the Same :);Emma Partnow
