With Live I want to be more creative and create something “special” (aka live-remix).
BTW, Thanks a lot Emma!That’s Cool; I use Ableton to Create Remixes too; and also to Produce my Own Tracks from Scratch;
If you would like any Assistance with what you are doing; there isn’t really Anything I don’t know about the Program now; but that is up to you of course 🙂Emma Partnow

I got a hold of the person in charge of the event and asked about the type of music they’d like to hear, and the lady basically told me to keep it nice and light during the early hours, but then just play whatever to keep the dancefloor going – so I guess I’ll just have to play this one by ear and see what gets the crowd jumping 🙂
The venue is a sort of a private club they rent out for events like this, with a nice sound system, a dance floor, basically all the essentials – so I’m guessing dance music at some point will probably work.
The gig’s tonight, so wish me luck 🙂 I’ll let you know how it went.
Many Many Best Wishes for Tonight’s Gig Hane 😎 😎

I Hope there is Something for you in the Above Screenshot Posts to Help you with this 🙂
But Your Confidence Will ‘Soar’ if you just set yourself to Complete a 15-30 Minute Set;
So; a Suggestion from me at this Stage; would be to Place ‘Just One’ Warp Marker at the Beginning of Each Track;
Use say 4-10 Tracks of the ‘Same BPM’; and Complete this Short Set using the Method of Mixing ‘In & Out’ on the Last 16 Bars of the Track; in this way (though you are Likely to be ‘Far Ahead’ of this Procedure on other Equipment); you will ‘Feel Comfortable; Satisfied; and Successful’ Within the Ableton Environment; and then Feel Able to Move On to ‘More Challenging Tasks’ :);
But I have All The Time In The World to Walk You Through ‘Any Process’ you may need Further Instruction On 😎Emma Partnow
MemberHello Matt 🙂
The Mixtrack Pro Definitely has its Own Built In Soundcard; so you can Play a Track on Deck 1; and Monitor the Track on Deck 2 with your Headphones;
This is a little Introductory Video on the Unit 🙂

Stifffy, thanks for the recommendation. I started looking at price and images of the Mixtrack and I have seen it before. It’s always good to put a name to something. It looks more friendly then some of the other controllers I have seen. Now there are two options, the MMixtrack and Mixtrack Pro, from what I have read the regular Mixtrack comes with Traktor and the Pro VDJ. Some Pro’s can get Traktor as well.(looks like based on Country) Now the difference I have noticed when it comes to the two is on the top the Pro has a delete button but the standard Mixtrack has a tick? Not sure the difference there, from what I have heard tick has to do with acapella?
Hello Matt 🙂
The ‘Tick’ Button is for Counting Beats; it used to be called a ‘Metronome’ in the Distant Past;Emma Partnow

MemberHello Hane 🙂
I Completely Agree with Andrea;
I Feel that you should Find A Person in Charge Of Events for the Corporation (unless this is your Friend); and Discuss Fully with them what is Normally Expected/Accepted at these Events; as they May have a Set Agenda (being that they will have had DJ’s Previously – Most Likely);
You May be able to Play Your Normal Set at Some Point in the Evening; but Unless given the ‘Go Ahead’ to Actually Do This; I wouldn’t Expect To;
I Personally (at these Events) Always Begin with At Least an Hour of Ambient Music (not Dolphins; but Ambient Tracks with Kick Drums); rather than Hip Hop or R’N’B as these are Genres that ‘Could’ be Unexpected and ‘Not For Them’;
It may be Unfortunate; but Again; as Andrea said; Radio Hits; Beatles and others like them ‘Could Be The Key’;
Corporate Gigs are ‘One’ of the Hardest Gigs; and to Successfully Pull It Off could mean ‘Big Business For You’ 😎Emma Partnow
MemberHello Eduardo; A Very Warm Welcome to Our Forum 🙂
DJ’ing at your School is the Practice and Experience you Need to Feel Confident when you Hit The Stage 🙂
Please Don’t Think you would be Laughed at in a Professional Environment; as I was DJ’ing in Clubs in the UK when I was 15; and it is Our Sound and Skill which is the Important Thing; Not Our Age 😎August 11, 2011 at 1:39 pm in reply to: Hey guys, Im new here, really glad to have found such an amazing site! #5634Emma Partnow
