ParticipantI dont know really….Why should it be wrong anyways…it has been played over 70 times in one day…On the other hand one of your mixes has been played a bit over 100 times in 3 months…and you have two of them which has been played over 1k times in same period of time = 3 months.
I was listening to it while doing other stuff on computer and it is fine to me… Keep it up buddy and dont panic…sometimes it just happen

ParticipantI agree with Chuck about size of speakers. Unless you work in a huge room you won’t need 8 inch monitors. I tried Krk Rokit 6 and Yamaha HS 7 recently and I have to say they both are nice ( they both are in your price range). Krk are more bass heavy, yamahas are bigger (7 inch) and good for all kinds of music production.
Whatever you buy just make sure and try them all before you buy something. Don’t just listen to our suggestions but to your ears too. I believe, if you place them correctly in your room with some acoustic tretment you will get something pretty neat. But with monitors it is this way: you get what you pay for.

ParticipantI would also recommend smaller shops, beause they will most likely help you with everything. I would say: go on YouTube, or just google, do some research on certain monitors in certain price range (compare relevant ones) and then ask shop assistant to help you comparing them. If they won’t have certain monitors they will deliver them so you will be able to try them all. Make sure that you look more then just interested in listening but also in buying.
Talking about quality: use your iPod with some good quality wavs and thats it. ( if you are searching for monitor for few 1000€ then just ask them to plug media player + amp if needed and you just bring cds. ALSO MAKE SURE THAT CABLES ARE AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE AND AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE!

ParticipantUuu yeah big like. Nice piece of hardware that will handle software. Now you can spend your time in music rather then choosing gear.
Good jobElMuppet
ParticipantI believe that I’ve heard this last statement about Green Velvet in one of your very nice guides or something, is that right D-Jam ;)?

ParticipantI apologize…but think about it Chuck Norris = kinda 70-80 still in shape!
And i am certain that you will be at least like: Chuck van Damme xD
ElMuppet
ParticipantBut all of you must admit that music society push pros into one genre which imho is ridiculously stupid

ParticipantYou are never too old to learn something new. And I believe Chuck forgot to mention that he is certainly older xD Just kidding.
Have fun, I believe you helped me out at least once since u came so thanks bro, hope I will be able to give you a favor in return!

ParticipantMy last name is Brčkalija and in english it should sound something like: Brchkaliya (it is not typical Slovenian last name – there are only four citizens with it here: me, my dad, mom and sister. I believe it historically originates from Middle-East (Turkey) in combination with a city name of Balkanian country Bosnia- called Brčko. I found it pretty rare anyways. 🙂
So if you accidentally hit Slovenia and somehow this last name somewhere, you can be sure that it belongs to my very close family.ElMuppet
ParticipantTy Terry, ty all guys again! You helped helluva lot! Now I really have so many options !!!

Might be worth checking out 🙂

ParticipantI will answer the question from the last row: YES you basically need laptop, controller and PA speakers BUT you will probably need: PA mixer (about 150$), headphones if you dont have them (100$), mic for entertaining the crowd(50-70 non wireless will do).
If you are into wedding and mobile in general I would recommend lights too because you can put the price tag quite a bit higher. (Once you have your price tag it is pretty hard to put it higher!) When you have lights you will need TRUSS system too ( lets say 150$) + cabels for everything…..And ofc you need back ups if something goes wrong: iPod, iPad or tablet, second laptop etc….If you wont be strictly in one type of djing it gonna cost you a lot…not to mention production
Good luck bro!
