thanks for all your help gents…terry42 i wasnt dissing ableton, the exact opposite but it didnt come out right…this is a really nice forum, thats for your help..

    twitch it is!!

its within my price range..even brand new..its about $485 – £300 which for me, who just messes about and isnt that serious, that at the top of my price range..with twitch i can record and i get a full version of serato..
theres nothing wrong with traktor from the advice ive been given here, but having used djuced and virtual then i think serato is a step up from them and traktor will be a bit to far for me….for the time being!!!

    thanks again for the help..

great forum full of helpfull people

thanks buffaz…you have almost convinced me with the twtich..and its £300 at djkits.com so thats within my price range.. and the be honest i dont really want to pay any more for a controller..

thanks buffaz…i since narrowed my list down which was getting stupidly large!! Novation twitch or the traktor s2. What worries me is that to upgrade serato itch i have to pay $199 which is what..£120ish-£130. Where as the s2 come with all the software..and so does the rmx2…This is one of the point which points me to one off these 2 controllers..i just want somethin i can use and i dont have to upgrade for extra money..

can you record with serat itch by the way?

    thanks

thats a good point..im like a kid in a sweetshop. I want to mix, have some fun, throw some effects in now and again. But basicaly just mix with a mixer that has a bit of meat to it. Im no sasha and dont intend to be..just a bit of bedroom bedlam..few mixes for the gym, missus..mates..nothing major.
Not really going to get into mapping, or major reworking of tracks.

As for software, like i said before with the trouble ive had with Virtual DJ home edition i dont really trust it now so DJused is good enough for me..i would like to try traktor to see if i like it.

    thanks terry again…

so many lovely controllers to chose from!!

right now its between the novation twitch, the hercules rmx2 (if i can find a review somewhere!) or the denton dnmc3000..
