Cool thing about Tech House is that it leaves you a lot of room to make it your own. I tend to use effects a bit more with tech house than with other genres… just have to remember not to ‘over effect’ it… so i keep the dry-wet far to the left.
Also… as you stated, it’s pretty easy to mix with. This leaves lots of options to mix in many other genre’s (not necessarilty electronic), indie, punk, pop, hip hop etc…
Also… Also… it’s great opening music as in general you want music with more bass and less trebble earlier in the evening to ‘prime’ the ol’ eardrums.
