in reply to: Hi guys! #39731

Hi, and welcome from newbie – your story is very similar to mine – I am interested in getting back to producing tracks like I used to.

in reply to: How would you describe each sub-genre of dance music? #39678

Some people take genres and subgenres to extremes though – hollywood sadcore – seriously does this have to exist?

Thanks all, setting a playlist for Saturday’s gig up with some recent chart tracks. Any current favourites?

If you’re offering I would be happy to take you up on that, a collaboration would be good I reckon. Let me get back to you with something for you to consider.

I like your sounds and your production – would maybe be good to hear you apply your skills to someone else’s music.

Serendipity – I swear some things happen and the event causes hairs to stand up on the back of your neck – like fate or something. I won some money on a charity lottery, then found my mixer at a knocked down price in a Hi-Fi shop by total accident, that seemed like some happy coincidences to me.
DJ nightmares – When you are setting up and you start to think you have left something essential at home, like the time I lost a set of speaker leads and ddn’t realise until the next gig – your mouth goes dry and chest starts to tighten, luckily I had some spare leads I could use as the amp had bare wire connections. Or the time an AVG upgrade took place on my PC the night before a gig when I was setting everything up, and when I got to the gig the PC wouldn’t work at all. Yes I do get the dreams too, but it nearly happened a couple of times, which is why I bring spare everything now, I bring 2 PCs even.
