Went from a 15″ dell to a 13″ MBP. Yes the screen is smaller, no it wasn’t the problem I thought it might have been. Plus the 13″ MBP is a bit more portable than the 15″ MBP. I don’t think you’ll regret switching.

Just to echo what the others have said, get a MAC. Fewer headaches.
If you’re going to stick with a PC, I’d recommend using a RAIN.

As someone who grew up Windows and for almost two years used a Windows laptop for Traktor Pro, I say if you can afford it, get a Mac.
I recently switched to a 13″Mac Book Pro and it was very refreshing to just install Traktor, connect my controller. Set my preferences and hit play.
The only optimisation I did was was turn off the screen saver and wifi before playing.
