ParticipantI recommend a full midi controller. Set up will be easier and it will be less expensive.
As far as which controller to buy? Depends on which DJ Program (Traktor, Virtual DJ, etc) you want to use. Also, how much are you willing to spend?

ParticipantOne of the reasons why I never tried a Faderfox. Too small for my large hands.

ParticipantFor what it’s worth, when I first switched to Traktor Pro, I started out with a pair of Kontrol X1s and a mixer.

ParticipantI NEVER buy DJ gear with the thought of how much I can get when I sell it.
Buy the DJ gear that works well with your workflow and will allow room to grow as your skill set increases. That’s why I went with the VCI 400 EGE (although I was *this* close to pulling the trigger on the Kontrol S4), I had outgrown my MC6000.

…If I sold my S2 I would have to spend another ~ 450 bucks to pay for that, leaving me without a TP2 license. Why wouldn’t you have a TP2 license?
I’ve went from a pair of Kontrol X1s, to a pair of SC2000s to an MC6000 and now a VCI 400 EGE, all on the same license.djsubculture@gmail.com
ParticipantHave you considered the Vestax VCI-400 EGE?

I suggest making some of the more important threads “Stickies”.

ParticipantThe controllers the tightest Traktor integration, I’d say either the NI Kontrol S4 or the VCI 400 EGE.
If you’re on a budget, then the NI Kontrol S2.djsubculture@gmail.com
ParticipantHosanna Littlebird’s “Can Love Again”
Usually I’ll drop it on the looped outro of DJ Eman “It’s yours” with the looped break down of Pete Heller’s “Big Love”.djsubculture@gmail.com
ParticipantTraktor Pro can store up to 8 Cue/Loop points per track.

If you’re a legit VDJ owner, you should have no problem contacting Atomix and requesting a new license key.
At any rate, isn’t VDJ available as a digital download only?
