I recommend a full midi controller. Set up will be easier and it will be less expensive.
As far as which controller to buy? Depends on which DJ Program (Traktor, Virtual DJ, etc) you want to use.

Also, how much are you willing to spend?

For what it’s worth, when I first switched to Traktor Pro, I started out with a pair of Kontrol X1s and a mixer.

Why wouldn’t you have a TP2 license?
I’ve went from a pair of Kontrol X1s, to a pair of SC2000s to an MC6000 and now a VCI 400 EGE, all on the same license.

If you’re a legit VDJ owner, you should have no problem contacting Atomix and requesting a new license key.

At any rate, isn’t VDJ available as a digital download only?
