For bonus points, he could try to get his DJ name registered as a trademark and then get legal advice.THIS! ^^^^
But be forewarned, it’s not cheap and it takes awhile as a copyright lawyer will have to do a search to see if anyone or any company is already using that name.djsubculture@gmail.com

I also set the power preference to background services but nothing much its still got drop outs and sometimes total music cuts for up to 3 seconds. btw the picture is of latency monitor while traktor is running.
I take it that you use your laptop for internet purposes too?
If yes, THAT’S your problem. You DJ PC laptop should be just that, you DJ laptop. No surfing the net, no webcam, no email.
I would uninstall everything you don’t need for DJ use. In fact, before I switched to Win7, I did a clean install of Vista (yeah, my laptop started out as a Vista machine) just to clean out all of the bundled junk that came with my laptop.djsubculture@gmail.com
ParticipantLooking over Traktor Kontrol S4 System Requirements .
It looks like you’re just there. But ideally, you want to be be a bit above minimum specs.Anyway, you’re using Windows Vista which is less than ideal for audio work. Windows7 is better, but your laptop might not have enough processing power.
In the mean time, here’s a link with information that you should follow.

Checked my mappings and rebooted both MBP & Traktor but still no go. So I went back to 2.0.3 and no issues but I am having audio drop outs with the EVO5. Gonna do more searching but I just ran it 2 hrs with Wifi off and no issues. Need to do more testing.
There are known bugs with Traktor 2.1.1

ParticipantIt’s in the preferences. There’s a box to uncheck. That should do it.

ParticipantAs mentioned earlier, modern House is pretty easy to spin. From a purely technical point of view. The real art is song selection and remixing the music live.
Disco is a real challenge as most tracks (especially from the early ’70s ) had live drummers or analog sequencers and the tempo would drift quite a bit during the song.

The isolation is fantastic. Despite the fact that they sit on the ears and don’t completely cover them.
As for sound quality, they sound a bit warmer than my HP-1000s. Plus I like the fact that both the ear foam and the the headphone cable are replaceable.

ParticipantAbout $30.00 – $45.00 a month. I wish I could double that, but I have to buy gas for my car.
