Looks like all you need is a Battle Bridge and you’re set.

Yes, everyweek for a webcast. I’m still using TP 2.1.5
I don’t doubt your words that it was running perfectly when it came out. From my own experience (and judging by the DJTT forums I’m not the only one) they dropped the ball after TP 2.5 – and my point mainly was, that DJTT don’t support their own products too well after they have sold you the thing. These complaints notwithstanding it’s a great controller – if it functions properly.
So as I understand it, your complaint is really that the .tsi file doesn’t work with TP 2.5?

ParticipantNAMM show. I’ve been about 5 times. Lots of fun, but a TON of work. Most DJs don’t get that.

The lesson to take away from this: Check the forums for people complaining first, before buying a product that is hyped up by features on paper and some cool video starring Ean Golden. It’s been my observation that the people who have problems complain on public forums. Everybody else is too busy enjoying their equipment.
One point I must point out is that when the VCI-400 EGE was released, Traktor Pro 2.1.3 was the current version and the DJTT .tsi file works flawlessly for that.
Of all the Traktor controllers I’ve used (Kontrol X1s, DN-SC2000s, DN-MC6000) the VCI 400 EGE has been the easiest to use and most reliable.Just my .02 cents.

ParticipantDenon’s core market are mobile DJs so that explains the CD drive.

is just frustrating :mad:Format your external HDD to Fat32. That’s a drive format that’s recognized by both MAC and PC.
Then you can copy and paste the music files from the MAC to the HDD and then import them into your PC.djsubculture@gmail.com

I am curious as to what are all the options to DJ digitally without a laptop. I’m looking to minimize my setup slightly and don’t really want to go the CDJ route. My google-fu has only come up with the Stanton SCS.4DJ which looks great but is missing out on some features that I use (multiple cue points, gain, etc) and the Pioneer XDJ-Aero which looks cool but again is missing multiple cue points (which I understand, is asking a lot) and has the “gimmicky” feel to it (wi-fi, really?).The Denon SC2900 is the closest to what I am looking for. It would be perfect if it didn’t have a CD drive and was just a digital media player. I’m hoping that this thread will turn into a list showing all the options that I have missed.
List so far:
Stanton SCS.4DJ
Pioneer XDJ-Aero
Denon SC2900 (kinda, it still is a CDJ)What’s wrong with the SC900 having a CD drive? The CD drive just gives you more playback options.
It’s still a media player.djsubculture@gmail.com

ParticipantEven though Deadmau5 and other producers are playing their own tracks, the music is still pre-recorded. So the “DJ” title is still appropriate. Just my .02 cents.

ParticipantI’ve considered upgrading, but my VCI-400 EGE works flawless with 2.1.3.

Got any tips for the tipsy DJ?…Yeah, the next time you plan on getting “tipsy” when you’re playing out, record your set. Then listen to it the next day.
I’d be willing to bet good money you won’t like what you hear. -
