Thanks for the input. I am NOT a scratch DJ. I am a House, Electro, Dance remix DJ. So although I dabble in a scratch every now and then, I won’t fully utilize the platters on the NS7. However, I don’t necessarily agree that you choose a controller just by the platters themselves. The touch sensitive knobs are something that really stuck out and grabbed my interest in the NS7 as well. Money is not a huge factor in the purchase….I want to purchase the best product that suits my needs. But hey…who doesn’t like to save a dollar, right? I like the Pioneer name and have become fairly fond of Numark over the last year. The Pioneer unit is definitely less money than the NS7, it is smaller and much lighter which I like. Any advantage with the MPC pads from one unit to another? Any other input, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated. Again, I’m a electro house, top 40 remix dj. So scratching, rap music and hip-hop are mostly obsolete to me and the venues I play at. Samples, loops & effects are most important! Thanks again.
