MemberCheck Amazon, the RedWaves are from $70 to $90 there, then buy Traktor Pro 2, or download Serato Intro. People don’t tend to listen me in this but whatever I’m just gonna throw it out there, my controller is the Behringer BCD3000, its and old controller but it works fine, does the job, and does it well, it comes with traktor LE. Just sayin… If not get the MixtrackPro and buy Traktor Pro2.

MemberThanks bro, that’s what Im doing, counting the bars and beats, hearing each beat and I search for tracks around the same BPM, lower the pitch fader down completely, play both tracks, and start fading it up little by little hearing the songs.

MemberMixtrack Pro switched VDJ for Traktor LE I believe, and now is supported by Serato Intro which are much better options than Virtual DJ. Get the Mixtrack Pro. Seriously, you can’t get any acceptable headphones for less than $60. Mine cost around that price which are the American Audio HP700, Ive had them for a month and they work fine. The Numark RedWave cost less than $70 and are pretty good actually, bro trust me, don’t get any cheaper headphones, your sound quality will be horrible and they won’t last you 2 days, first because you’ll want to smash them because they suck, and second because they will probably break. Don’t get headphones cheaper than $60.

MemberThanks, let me know what you think.

MemberDon’t go minimalist unless you pay the good ones like the Faderfox maybe, if you’re in it for good, go better. If it’s for fun, go for it, a waste of money in my opinion, those small controllers won’t help you learn to mix, or even mix.. properly at least.

MemberYou’ll have to get Monitor Speakers look for them in amazon, search monitor speakers and you’ll find some good ones. These will be at least $150 or more. You need to get headphones which will need to be cheap, my reccomendation, get the Numark RedWave or the American Audio HP700. Controller, maybe the Numark Mixtrack Pro will do you good. BEST CONTROLLER FOR BEGINNERS OUT THERE

MemberTruly don’t buy the tiny controller units like the DJ Tech Duo and all of those, unless you’re it in for fun. Maybe the smallest you could go is the Hercules MK4

MemberALEX, the Native Instruments Kontrol S2 is a great controller which cost around $700, it was recently lowered to $399 for a short period of time, buy this one now, it comes with Traktor Pro 2 which is a GREAT software for mixing, just get the s2 and some headphones like the Numark RedWave which are cheap and this will cost you around $450. And you will have a good setup.

MemberThanks guys, really appreciate it, this is helping me alot.

MemberStill don’t know, I believe in a couple of months, If you want to start NOW. You could buy the mixtrack pro which is around 200euros, but that’s your entire budget, so my opinion, get the Behringer BCD3000 and some nice headphones. Headphones is something you should never go cheap, because they will last you only a couple of days, get a good pair of headphones.

MemberYes, Vinny is right, many people have got their hands on it and said they were really nice, long pitch faders like proffesional gear, people doubted the jogwheels saying they would suck, well UniqueSquared’s DJMadFlip got his hands on the jogwheels and he said he loved them, they felt nice and were accurate with the software, it seems like the best controller in a budget, it has 8 hot cues and many more great features, and its coming out in $200 I believe, that is insanely cheap.

MemberCheck them out, Behringer’s new controllers look promising but NO ONE has had an actual go with these controllers. I would recommend getting the behringer BCD3000 for you to save a buck, use your keyboard an map it to do the other functions, get some headphones worth buying, Numark RedWave seem nice and cheap. No, when I mean learn the software I mean mix with your mouse and keyboard and see if you like the software, if not check out VirtualDJ which is good for beginners. Exactly, pair up with your pals, TRUST ME, its the best, that is what I do.

MemberI’ve only mixed at friendly reunions, I know it doesn’t count but it helps me learn for me to be ready for a real gigs. I can tell you one thing, it’s not like I can see the future, but at my first gig I will enter sweating and about to pass out, how I leave, well that’s for me to find out.
