I like the idea of new gear, new technology, and what not. But seriously? This shake/move around thing is plain stupid, why shake a controller around to get the function of a simple knob turn? MidiFighter besides that is a great device.

And I’ve only heard in once that night, but I don’t know if it was only that night. This guy has opened for Elton John, Bob Sinclar and many others, and also plays in the biggest clubs.

I know of no one who can’t beatmatch and is making some noise, well I do, although If there is such person, he’s probably someone that plays pure bangers and commercial crap that makes the people go crazy, so people don’t pay attention to the mixing per say. That gets no merit at all, that is what iPods and playlists are for. For example: I live in Venezuela and over here there is a really famous DJ called Oscar Leal, facebook him or something. He has a lot of popularity and is known for being great at mixing, when I first went to a HUGE party where he was going, I realized that he plays BANGERSS and tears the party up. When I decided to pay attention, He’s transitions and beatmatching are in the sh*tter. That guy can’t mix, and I thought to myself why not play a freaking iPod instead of paying a ton of money to hire him.

Well I think of it as this, everyone can mix, everyone can call themselves DJs. I could buy my gear and call myself a DJ. The question should be: When are you a REAL DJ? or a GOOD DJ?. It’s simple, the challenge about mixing is beatmatching, and with the Sync button that challenge has been lost mostly, when you learn to beatmatch all you are left with is your gear, your music and your creativity, from there on you could be called a DJ.

When you spend thousands of dollars on gear & equipment, play bad music, use the Sync button and put DJ along with your name. Yeah, thats about it.

THANKS. more questions lol, I LOVE the mapping I have, it works perfectly but there are a couple of buttons that are working with another purpose than the one they should be doing.
    1. How do I change this midi notes for my preference?
    2. Can I grab the original mapping of my controller and add some other stuff, or do I have to begin another mapping?

We all start somewhere, you’ll need a soundcard also. My gear is the Behringer BCD3000 which is only $130 and much better than the Hercules, and it includes a soundcard. But well, you bought it, mix the crap out of it, and enjoy. My only gripe is the size but that’s just me.

Sure it can be mapped for Traktor. Look for mappings in google or any of these forums. I only go for Sound quality (A good balance between the bass and the highs), the build quality is the most important, DJ headphones break VERY EASILY, there are only a handful of headphones that don’t break easily. and Value, many headphones are overpriced maybe because of design or more commercial like the beats, etc. Go for that: Sound, Build Quality and Value.
