Go with Mac and be happy,
Im not sure what do u mean by fully customized Mac cost you around 3,000 dolla ?
Mine only cost ~$1,600, i7 processor, 17 inch

The touchscreen thing eh im not so sure about that, more likely just a gimmick, imo
As you stated, its your beginner setup, go with the Traktor S2 or the numark, should served you pretty well

PS Audio interface is so 2014ish, its a fading piece of technology (in DJ world anyway), so you can safely skipped em, allocating the budgets to something else

Put your source of fund toward buying the laptop macbook pro then ? instead a past standards like Chuck mentioned?

You need at least a Nexus series to even worth it to go the CDJ Route, lets do the calculation shall we ?

A complete set of DJ 900 Nexus ( remebred you need two of em) + a mixer DJM 900 Nexus, will cost you roughly around $4791 !
A 17 inch laptop macbook Pro, suggested retail price of $2,799 !

What can you do with the CDJ’s route? Limited
What can you do with a brand spankin new Macbook Pro ? the sky is the limit !

Different situation, different rates for folks, not something that universal, and you have to factor it in against their own local currencies to the rate also

6 hour set its not that long if you enjoyed it yourself too, not just a chores,

I usually divided each hours (or sometime 2 hours?) to each different set divided to each mood of the night,

    Beginning Sets:
    – Soulfull House
    – Tech House / Deep
    – Nu Disco
    – Classic Disco, etc

    Middle Sets:
    – Dutch House,
    – Breakbeat,
    – Light EDM,
    – Commercial Remixes Pop Stuff, etc

    Ending Sets:
    – Trance,
    – Progressive House,
    – Big Room Festival,etc

And was it your friends 40th bday party ? If it is, take time to mingle some, in the middle of your sets, put on some mixtape, go walk around, grab a light drink and a bite to eat and socialize a bit, armed yourself with some cards and such just in case

I never say the NJ in the south part of the US, maybe i should put BTW before the “southern” part or in another hand the “southern” lol =p

And the pics ow snap “Impressive”, you mix match the helmet with the suit ish awesome along with the black nike gloves

And dont worry about the scratching part much, the way you can mixing in the K-pop into your deep house->nu disco/techno->hip hop->trap->back to electro house routines, its “Impressive” too, you in the right road my friend
Slow night is unavoidable if you a regular DJ, just keep doing what youve been hired too and why they hired you route and keep improving it

Yeah a 4×4 house wont served too tasty to those hungry hardcore hip hop heads, a good practice is to see a show where the crowd is a hardcore hip hop heads, and taking notes to what the DJ’s playin and noticed which one work which one is not to the crowd

Thanks Terry for the miss part =P

The symptoms from yesterday was, first when I browsing the forum it was fine i can clicking and posting with no problem, a while later when i start clicking one of the forum link ( I believed it was the second page of Forum > DJ Booth, then I clicked one of the topic), it directed me to the “Join Us For Free” page, when I clicked on “No Thanks” link it took me back to the previous page ( the DJ Booth forum page), i start randomly clicked on different link and it still takes me to the “Join Us For Free” page, and when I clicked the “No Thanks” link it took me to the same previous page.

I cleaned cache & cookies from my browser, then i exited the browser, opened it back up, and now when i just typed http://www.digitaldjtips.com, it took me to that Join page again lol

After a while, i switched to my phone, it let me opened the first page of DDJT, but when i tried to login this time, it just took me back to the main page without me logging in
Same thing again happened, when this time i tryed it on my browser it just wont let me login this time

I sent email to info email DDJT, Steve said it should be OK now,
Its ok this morning so far I guess…

PS and for Chuck, *throw a wet socks =p

    LOL appreciated there brotha,
It was during a DJ Battle, I slapped the intro from https://soundcloud.com/ookaymusic/ookay-star-wars-free-download,
    and start wear the helmet

Any pics from your helmet collection? be cool to see them !

I just realized you from New Jersey, so your past behavior its not that childish at all its pretty much common behavior among the US, especially the southern, they just hated EDM, this was during the 90’ish and early 2000ish era
Not sure whats the behavior attitude toward EDM now, I heard its getting better, but I doubt on the southern part, they just slow and backward to adapted lol

Most of folks with the background love of rock and roll music, prolly have no trouble crossing to EDM scene, they mostly likely dig early Trance stuff, and some industrial EDM fused music, thats why Fat Of The Land gained a popularity remarkably down yonder

But its really good to read your experiences, its a joyful feeling for me that you finally come to your senses (LOL) to enjoy EDM to the fullest

Much respect back at you Sir! & God speed on your journey !
We be here to help you along the way !

Agreed with Chuck mentioned of Hed Kandi Compilation, and they even put some chillin vocal also in there, so all “chill” music have to be instrument music is not really accurate, plus your sets be kind of “empty” if its all instrument, throw some vocal here and there to enhance the mood

For example track by Bonnie Bailey “Ever After”, a great vocal chill track
