Since you playing at the bar, it is not always good too, to keep the dance floor packed ALL the time, I mean when they gonna purchased some drinks if you keep them on the floor all the time ?
Maybe when they leave the dance floor they want to sit down chill and drink, which is not a bad thing either,
Just observe really closely to your crowd, and when you think you mix down a same exact tunes within the realm, and people leaving, put that tunes you played on in question, why ? Better yet, get down to the floor, approach the crowd introduced yourself and asked them why (instead of just guessing), this is also a good way to networking with your crowds, show them how much you cared about them

I have had gigs that at end of the night and even tho the floor was empty that people really did have a great night and tell me so. If there is no one dancing I go into what I call ‘radio mode’. Play tunes from the 3 most popular radio stations in your area.

Radio Mode is an excellent idea, my local station always runs their own Top 40 charts during the weekend, I always pay really close attention to what is their most current top 10, especially what song is the #1 spot that week, most of the time 2-3 weeks later that #1 song becoming a well known songs around the area

This is like really interesting ? coincidence? it is super weird
Cuz I have almost the same dilemma lol
In my upcoming (next thursday) gig, I have to get a mic, but i don’t have the opt between wired mic or wireless mic, IT have to be a wireless mic, the only option left is a cheap wireless mic or an xpensive wireless mic
The venue mic is broken, hence Its my obligation to get one, cuz I’m performing with a live singer, and she needs to walks around between stages and crowds without the restriction of the mic cable,
After searching around i came across with Shure wireless PGX series, with the budget around 80 dolla or PGX series Beta58 with 100 dolla, so its not too bad i guess for the price

And to reply your question, I go ahead just get the wired mic, since it doesn’t really required for the announcer to walk across the room and back to stage anyway, the announcer can just stand in middle of the stage where mic is and make the announcement / whataver, those brings people attention to the center of the announcer

PS can someone please explain to me how to hook up a wireless mic? On wired mic all you gotta do just simply plug the mic in the in-house mixer mic input, but in wireless? *confuse

The DJ School works pretty much like when you taking a private piano lessons.
But most of the DJ Schools, at least have minimum of 2 separate 3×4 studios, each studio loaded with your basic Club Pro DJ tools, such as CDJ, mixer, speakers, the aim is to give you the experiences to what it feels like spinning in the real club environment.
Different schools offered different courses but basically it comes to Basic Level, Intermediate Level & Advance Level
But most of them offer you 1-1 lessons, with the Instructors a local DJ heroes
The lessons itself last for 12 session or 1 month, each session lasted around 2 hours or so
The first 2 hours usually gets down on the basic theory of Intro to the DJ gears and stuff, the rest is the direct interaction to the gears
Its really good for a beginner, they can get their first hands-on experience to what most of the clubs used
And all that for the low price of 300 dolla …

I’m planning to open up one, next year, hopefully when everything is in order, wish me luck

Guess im out of luck then lol it is MK1 …

Not each for 29.95, all 40 different tracks you can get for one price 29.95
They do offer plan for the unlimited one for different price tough

    What is ROI ?

    D-Jam, post: 43613, member: 3 wrote:
When you are handing out demos and can clearly see a promoter really only cares if you can “bring heads”, then you understand the nature of the scene and business. This is why I backed off and became a bedroom DJ again, and why I keep telling you all of how much and what kind of effort you need to make to be playing in bigger events.

“Bring heads” is sooo true, the era of the Club Manager pay DJ’s for just that (no “condition met” terms) is over (well unless you already a “BIG” name)
The Club Manager turns to this system call “Profit Sharing” ( I called it “Profit BS”), basically it goes like this, if that night the club profits from certain amount, we the DJ’s that plays that night get this certain profit percentage,
    For Example:
    CLub Profits DJ Profit
    ======== =====
    $500 – $1,000 5%
    $1,000 – $1,500 7%
    $1,500 – $2,000 10%
    +$2,000 15%
    * Club Profits (from F&B only)

Yeah not much, especially if we the DJ did not reach the $500 point playin in that club that night, well bud, you played for free that night LOL, yeah retarded but thats what happened
Of course different clubs got its own calculation and percentage, it varied a LOT (and not on the DJ side either)
I dont even know if I should keep pushing on DJ ing with this kind of behavior around clubs, or just gave F it and gave up, meh not so sure, guess I’m more of the passion for it then money I guess ?

Lastly, I don’t know how they did this, but the audio output has improved, it sounds better as it did before on ITCH and I can pump up the trim knob more than halfway before it goes into the red! Before it used to redline at 10 o clock! This may be due to Serato DJ but also to the updated drivers I installed (ALWAYS check for new drivers/firmware for your controller, novation just came out with new drivers for the Twitch in April!).

Now, THIS, Im interesting in, since when Im using the VCI-300+ITCH on club environtment, the sounds coming out is noticeably lower compared to the output sounds of the in-house CDJ, most of the time i have to adjust the trim and the master output of the in-house club mixer to match the CDJ sounds volume (still, the sounds produced from VCI-300 is blah quality)
