    Bring your friends also, they can help you to get calms and cheers you when you perform,
    And yeah a lil bit of praying before you perform wouldnt hurt either 😎

    I never see “beatmatching by ear” as an old skool way or new skool way or whataver
    Yes the tech is here, we all embrace it and such…
    Prepping for a gig with well made tracks already beat grid and all ish good also…
    But what happened, For Example, if one of your crowd, an eldery gentleman comes to you with a CD, “Hey man your set is tite, but can you play this “Dancing Queen” for me ?” (with 2 100 dolla slip in)
    Don’t get me started on those beat waves, screw-up-, psychedelic bpm, from the 70’s disco tunes , lol
    I doubt you have enuff time, to analyze it, beat-warp the whole song, etc
    Eh not me,
    I just load that CD into the CD player, use my ears, and mix it like a boss

    YES, Please stopped looking at the screen, it’s bad, i repeated BAD, BAD, BAD practice to start out with, especially when you just starting out,
    Ears, its your best starting point, for those who just starting out
    Use em, abuse em…
    STOP now looking at the display / the waveform / and such ….
    You getting a BAD progress by going thru a BAD shortcut … it will hurt you in the long run

    The new Serato DJ, comes with the new FX, that people swore it offered more “killer” FX than Traktor http://serato.com/dj/expansion-packs/fx, they came with the basic FX for free or purchased additional FX for some dolla, the way they described the new FX for Serato DJ, it’s pretty exciting for me

    And make no mistake, Traktor is designed mainly for EDM stuff, Serato for you rnb fixing, thus it IS awesome for scratching and stuff

    Most of the time if you rent one, you can usually consult with them also, which lightning packages you get, same thing if you rent a PA system, I can consult with them first, and they usually dont mind to pay a visit to the venue, to inspect things out and can give you a quota

    It is always tough,
    The tought cross my mind all the time, should i replace my ye old faitfully controller that I’ve been using it for the last 5 year or so ? If I do want to replace it why ? for what ? I mean it aint broke or anything, lol, and I’m getting the same gigs anyway with or without my upgraded controller anyway (hell, sometimes i didn’t even bother to bring it along anyway)
    Sooo in the end I’m saving up for something to improve my skills, something I never learned before, ya know maybe trying out DJing with Ableton, they said its different
