A very common thing among a windows based laptop

First business is to get a… MAC !
Second, I would recommended to get Axiom http://www.m-audio.com/?do=products.family&ID=axiom
They cheap and pretty good for a beginner, and it’s a MIDI Controller, do as you mentioned above, all the sounds etc come from the software

You’ve got any idea to what software u be gettin’ at also ?

I would do 1 set of hip hop for around 30 mins , and house set for around 30 mins, separately, just to showcase to the promoter that you can handle more than one genre, plus when I do the mix tape i don’t do the gradually flow on my first track, I dropped the bomb right at the very beginning to keep em interested, then play around with the flow in the middle of the mixtape

I live in a town of about 100k people it’s a small city; Baylor is the largest of 3 schools here, 2 community colleges. It’s the first time anyone has really tried to start a weekly “EDM” based night (it’s mostly rap/hiphop, spanish, or country), they’re giving us complete freedom and have agreed to not interfere with the playlist, it’s completely our night.

    Ouch, Central Texas, EDM…
That would be kind of rough, be easy to dem folks, don’t start storming them with a heavy sets of EDM at first or they would run out of the door, lol

I apologized for the bad pic, takin from a 1999 phone with no flash (lol)

And I apologized again for the crappy pic lol, so this is the place that I’m planning to open at, as you can see (based on the front of the sliding door) the width is about 8 tiles and the length inside about 10 tiles and I’m planning to split those area inside into two studios, hopefully it will fit (somehow) lol
I realized it’s not that big, but Its so expensive to rent a place these days. Guess start small first, i reckon

And judging by the small space I will have, based on your recommendation, I would go with single 12 inch (active) on each studio with no subs, I will defo check out the Mackie HD1221, hopefully they willing to let me hear the sound from it

Would it be just one 12 inch active PA Speakers do the trick ?

Like that one ? You know just one of em or do I really need both of em on my left and right side (would that be overkill for such a small size room?)

    1. Missing my out cue and I don’t want to let the rest of the song continue
    2. Hitting the cue button in mid-song, starting it from the beginning
    3. Trainwreck mash-up/beat match

    1. Echo is your best friend, always set your echo on the channel to which your song playing, set the echo at 2/4 or 3/4 and just slam the echo effect, and turn down your fader
    2. Guess my best advice is to stay away, keep your hands off from the cue button to which the song was playing, if necessary, if your song is on Deck A (aka left side), shift your entire body to Deck B (aka right side)
    3. Try to “chase” the beat to which ever your song that “slows” compare to the other song, quickly turn the Low EQ all the way down on the playing song and slowly turn up the Low EQ of your upcoming song
