Go take a quick peek at the Billboard Top 100 Singles, and then try to look for their EDM remixes of them or the mash-up of it, building a pop/EDM collections is by far most easier compared to reggae

Or you can do some “chop-mix” chop one song into another “starting point” of the chop, that what mostly of hip hop DJ use. Or you can do the “echo-mix” seems popular also

Too bad you dont use Virtual DJ, cuz those software supported mp3+g format , so you can run the videos from your lappie to a TV/projector

Lets not forget that you are in University a really great place to be a social butterfly, surely theres other DJ whos DJ ing at your university daily functions? Homecoming dance? Festivities and such ? Make a connection to them ( the DJ’s, Event organizer, etc).

Back in the day when I was attending the Universities, they had a DJ Competition, knowing I dont know where to start my DJ career, the competition its like a gold mine to me, I quickly signed up, and of course lo and behold I didnt win the competition, but i DID make connection to the other DJ’s, later on that DJ offering me a gig to DJ ing at the upcoming Spring Dance, and Jackpot!

Lowered standard, perhaps in the way, back in the vinyl days I dont see a local single female DJ rockin out the vinyl’s, but when i do see them they truly ROCK (skills wise of course),

Fast forward today, you see a sexy female DJ, carrying (of course) a laptop, and of course they truly SUCK!

    Local Female DJ

Take example, of the local female DJ above, she charged for 2 hour show, approx. $4,920.00, in her technical spec requirement is she required one DJ to assist her during her performance, take a good guess why she need a secondary DJ for ? yet she charged this ridiculous amount of fee

    Lowered standard? Perhaps …

If you selected you song just based on harmonic one and only, you missing out the great fun and freedom of a DJ, we an artist/painter (or w/e), so we paint based on our natural beast instinct, if one color doesnt match the other, the question is how we can make it work ?

Harmonic mixing is simply just a tool, just a guide, sometimes when we look at it, ow no it doesnt match, ok how about this or that, and sometimes ow no it doesnt match, well most of time we said Screw it! lol
