    Yeah i hated how Beatport genre allocation, especially the Progressive House section, it was AW-full !

    Exactly, workflow dominated,
    I hated Fruity Loops workflow, i dont care if the top producer DJ use these, the environment of Fruitty Loops is just to meh and alienated for me,

    Yeah just make sure you played along the theme of that band that night,
    If its like death metal band, i dont think the crowd would like commercial or house type of tunes,

    IF the crowd just sit in the bar stool and requesting a song in their smart phone, are they going to stand up and approached a DJ booth and give us a tips if we played their request ?

    This area is concern me, cuz “tips” its how our local DJ’s survived
    Just imagined if the crowd do some massive abusing the “button request”, and us DJ’s didnt get anything from playing their request.
    A 10 or 20 dolla tips can always bring me a smile =)

    This trend been going around for a longest in my local area,

    Its hard enough for us DJ to get a bookings these days, in addition to the clubs only want to book “pretty” female DJ, and ow yea we also labelled them with “FDJ” short for of course Female DJ, with some western name hooks to make them look like they a foreigner, so it will sell more, so something like “FDJ Sexy Alexxa”

    Another name we came out with is “TDJ”, which is for ya know, *cough Topless DJ,
    So yeah ladies and gents please give it up for TDJ Luxcious Lexy !

    Its a very sad state indeed for our local scene…

    Wish there is a way to combat these..I’m all ears

    How about just play the original version of the rap songs? cuz ya know rap its pretty darn close to trap anyway

    Me personally its too long thats like first name middle and last name,
    plus for the non militant folks Cam strikes as ya know a web cam …
    And as Younez pointed out “Dub” as in people will labelled you as dubstep DJ, which is as you stated thats not what you genre is

    My 2 cents…
