Yeah thats pretty much tarded idea, that you have to sell the tickets to enter the contest ? that you self have to WORK and practiced during the contest
Its okay, if you have to pay just the entry fee, thats pretty reasonable, but selling tickets just meh…

My piece of .10 cents advice is, when you entered a DJ contest, just entered it for you to gain experiences, dont expected it to be OW MAN im gonna pownaged this contest im gonna be /no1 !!! , just have fun with it, and the best part is you making a connections to other fellow DJ’s which in turn in the future can get in touch with you and offer you a paying gigs and whatnot,

Tery advice is right on the spot,
You just can’t sit in yur butt all day waiting for the stars to aligned them selves,
Go find a ladder, go outside, climb the ladder and align it yourself !

There is no reason to just abandoned what your heart desired, keeps at it, push push push and push harder,
I assumed you DJ ing out of your passion, right ?

It would seems you worry too much in this situation to actually to have some FUN while dj ing,
I would just passed this out ya know if the worry factor beats the fun factor

When you first started DJing for the public, stick to what the public loves the most, aka commercial stuff

Well for one thing, I wouldnt ditch the mobile DJ to the curb that quick, I mean you already started early ya know, just keeps up with it, the gigs will come naturally.

Try Classic Disco, excellent genre to learn , if you master that any other genre is a walk in the park , imo
