@flynn: if you really really new in electronic production department, my suggestion is start small first, the easier route is try to make a mash-up first, to get you comfortable with it, with mash-up you dont really need a specific DAW or hardware, a copy of Virtual DJ home edition can do the trick, or you can purchased the Mash up software from the Mixed in Key dudes.

And the best place, imo, to try out yur new stuff is to handed it out to your local DJ, and test it on the real ground (aka club and such) and to test people responds.

I did it with mine, and the result was… horrible LOL, the beats is so out of snych with each other, the grooves is misplaced, the crowds kind of looked each other like wtf ??? the bars count is way too odd so its hard for the DJ to mixed it in, and the bass line, err well there is no bass at all, i guess i picked up the wrong bass lol but ya know it served its purpose you know which worked which it dont worked lol

I dont see why not ?
combining both business, it means opens up to more gigs, plus those two in lines with each other anyway, its like fast food joint these days, combining KFC & tacobell under one roof, each maintaining its selling points, but both food can be made under one roof =)

Pay attention to your local clubs, some of these “labels” if they huge in your country they should have events every now and then in some clubs, watch the flyers in social media and such, most of the time they have the DJ name along with the label name for example DJ ABC (Label DJ Awesome), once you acquired the information where they going to have their next event, , go to that club, make contact with them, how ? the best one to get noticed is to open a bottle, you may have to do this a few times in their events to get noticed, then you can approach them, of course this is just one of the example
or you can just simply go to one of them DJ’s and introduced yourself,

My genre is pretty much open format multi-genre,

    Southeast Asia huh?
Hey we could be in the same country for all we know lol

Yeah you right deathy take it as just a mere tools, same thing with the harmonic mixing thingie, 2A good match is either 3A,1A, or 2B or jump ahead two notch, etc (according to harmonic mixing rules)
But when you start listening yourself, then you start thinkin eh this 2A tune sounds much better with other tune which is in 8A, well so be it lol

Although I was just asking in more general broader, like from Asia continents, or America or Europe Continents but that’s cool i respected that, I’m just trying to get the feel if you in the same boat as I am thats all.

The labels I joined is pretty much the same as you described, they are not a record labels or anything, they more like a DJ or Event Organizer label if you would.
And it also consists of the number of DJ’s ( and yes not all producers just like you described)

In my local area, some of these “label” opened a DJ School (my label did), my advice is to try to make a contact with them, or heck register some of their advanced classes (like battle class or digital class etc), in the process you making a natural connection with them, and if they like you enough they might ask you to join their “label”. Yeah I know its a long process lol, hence thats whats the purpose of my initial question to you, I hope i did not offended you in some way or whatnot

You tried any Soulfull house or disco tech house genre, what energy level those peaked at ?
IMO, those two genres (or somewhere between them two, the sub genres and such, etc etc) mostly is what our local DJ’s opening spins with,
