I went top range mixer because of their values and easy to sell it

I wont call it “easy”, its pretty much the most useless top tier mixer Pioneer ever released to the market, its bulky, very confusing touch-screen feature, very confusing to triggered a simple FX, and its HUGE !

Just like other already pointed out, you better off sell it ASAP !

The XDJ R1, kind of supported Rekordbox, but its very limited, I believed its not even displaying Playlist that you made in Rekordbox, correctly, plus the display is just god-awful ugly (compared to the CDJ 2000 series)

There is nothing really in Rekordbox that you cant learn, if you already owned some sort of controller, the learning-curves in the Rekordbox its not all that steep, if you already mastered the basic of DJ-ing

It will not help you “better” in DJ-ing, its just assist you much nicer, when you use the rekordbox on any rekordbox-able CDJ’s, but hey you dont know what it is yet that you missing anyway since you aint try it yet, so you not missing much, imo

Install one in your laptop, and mess around on it yourself its another way to “learn” it functions and stuff

Every genre of a song should have that one type song that can be “bridge” to another type of genre, especially these days we have a lot of transition stuff, make things a lot easier

I am new to the whole DJing

Just like you stated you new to DJ ing,

The only thing that I don’t like about the DDJ-SB is that it doesn’t have many In and Outputs.

So why you need so many Ins and Outs for anyway ?
The one that the SB had it served it purpose, more than enough

If you playing B2B with someone, a good practice would be errr practiced with them before the event first, that way you can get comfortable playing together, you can also assigned tasks to each other, like DJ A plays 2 songs first, then switch to DJ B, plays another 2 songs again before the change-up, plus there would be no surprises cuz each one of you already know each other songs/playlist

And while DJ A mixing, DJ B can do other stuff, like pumped the crowd, MC ing with the mike, or playin with the FX and such and vice versa.
