ParticipantDJ Stone Crazy, You could be missing what is going on beyond the dance floor, I’ve seen 3 clubs in the Pittsburgh,Pa area closed down due to violence. It maybe easier for the club owner to see whats going on and want to be in business for the long run instead of paying the consequences for the patrons actions. It’s just what I’m seeing here, I don’t know exactly what your situation is.

Participantdanny.slag, look at the thread “best controller for scratching” by DR PANCAKES. Phil Morse recommends the Vestax vci-300 but you could probably step up your game with that new Numark MPC DJ, check it out on the DDJT blog page.

ParticipantYou’re looking at 2 controllers that use Traktor software and 1 that uses Serato software. My advice is to get the Denon mc-6000, it is mappable to virtually any software and I believe is now Ableton ready. As always do your homework, get to know what YOU want and like. Maybe wait until NAMM to see what is new.

ParticipantI just read about MIDI feedback that will crash and destroy your operating system. Is this really a good idea?

ParticipantI’ve got three pairs.
Pioneer SE-205
Pioneer SE-305
Sennheiser HD-580
Good: The long cord on the 205’s and sound isolation.
Good: The soft leather on the outside of the 305’s and sound isolation.
Good: Long uncoiled cord , sound quality HD-580’s and very comfortable.
Bad: Heavy SE-205’s.
Bad: Heavy SE-305’s.
Bad: Sound isolation.Does anyone have experience with some Ministry Of Sound Cans?

ParticipantThe S4 has a new mapping making the jog wheels into cool sound effects wheels but the Denon has video capabilities as well. Go to DJtt to check out Ian’s video on the S4.
