Participantyes , it also does not give album artwork if you use a WAV file setting or after loading 2 TB of music like 5 times after they lost my music 5 times , I tried to load my bought and paid for CD’s again, and on about the 12th album(CD) album information on DJ Baby Anne “Live in Las Vagas” was spelled wrong Vegas isĀ not spelled with 2 “aa’s”. So I gave up and loaded my collection on an external drive with a 2001 model Inspiron laptopĀ and have no issues. Album artwork is there with few exceptions. Also don’t store on the cloud! if it gets lost you’re not guaranteed to get it back even if you purchased it all on Itunes. Music ripped by osx can’t be read on a pc either.

ParticipantI’d keep the Pioneer DDJ-SX and get either the Numark NS6 or the Numark 4TRAK . I have the NS6 and it’s built like a tank and is mappable to Traktor, the 4TRAK was built for Traktor and has a 12 knob effects panel

ParticipantDJ CapRoc, I don’t own these but from what I’ve read the beats become uncomfortable quickly, if I was buying headphones I’d look at sennheisers here’s the link; http://www.sennheiserusa.com/music-dj-headphones-hifi-stereo-adidas-sennheiser_504260

ParticipantAs an audiophile and bedroom DJ I prefer digital for crankability, mixing, effects and variety. But for really enjoying highs and lows at a comfortable listening level nothing beats a reference CD player, high power amps and some floor standing monitors. There are some great singles that aren’t on an album, so if it’s good enough I’ll buy a WAV file.
If you like CD’s Ministry Of Sound is still selling great CD’s.djrenots
Participantdjsubculture, I recommend copying what you have as iTunes has lost my album names, artist names twice. I use wav files it may be different if you use another format but from what I’ve been reading Aiff files are also prone to lose that information.
Also the settings like keep library organized are factors, when iTunes becomes corrupt for whatever reason, it will “keep files organized” and throw them into the “unknown album” and “unknown artist” because it doesn’t know what to do with them. I’m hardcore on wav as my file format and I’m determined to keep wav as my file of choice. I’m on my third loading of files as the “genius’s” at the genius bar aren’t competent and lost what I had left of my library
So I’m trying not checking “keep Media folder organized” under the advanced tab and checking “copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library” as this option as I understand is info about the file not the whole file. Then under the “general” tab un check “automatically retrieve track names from internet” and uncheck “check for new software automatically”. But that’s just me it’s like owning an egg you know that it won’t be long until it breaks. BOTTOM LINE BE CAREFUL! I’m no expert but want to warn you if you’re using wav let me tell you it isn’t fun loading 1500gb’s of cd’s 700gb’s takes two weeks fulltime. COPY! COPY!!!! GOOD LUCK Let me know about your experience. djrenotsdjrenots

ParticipantStanley, I know you’re not using the exact format as I am so for an approximate comparison; I use WAV format, 900 CD’s or 12,724 songs is 694 gb

ParticipantDone And might I add after doing some math,Prices are ridiculous $3.99 for a single WAV track. I used to get the physical CD,artwork and case to store it in for say$15.00 (that’s also a little high). So say 20 tracks WAV quality $.75 (75 cents) a track. Now they don’t have to print artwork make the CD or supply a case and it’s 532% increase per track. This doesn’t seem quite fair to me how about you? Tracks should be less, a lot less than .75 per track

ParticipantHey Atom, Nice find! Are they aluminum? And is there a piece missing on the side opposite the main cable, there where the wire is exposed going down to the driver? I hope you can get that cover before you can’t return them.
