I am familiar with the differences (internal vs external mixer) between the two. The MC6000 does have a button to set it to pc mixer in which case it acts pretty much the same as the MC3000 would. Besides that I am somewhat of a techie in that I have many years of experience with computers, programs, various (sound)equipment and such. So, I am sure I could be of assistance. If you can get it solved with the help of the good folks at Denon than that is fine of course.

Let me know, the offer stands.

B.t.w.: it appears that most of the problems you mentioned you have found online have to do with the Asio drivers in combination with the sound output settings in the software. It doesn’t appear to be specific for Traktor. Found plenty of stories of people who have tried it on VDJ LE and got the same problem.

Thanks again for offer of help, I sorted it out with the good guys at Denon, My Traktor LE disc needed updating which we did online and it fixed the audio set up straight away, I have cue/headphones working now but no sound goin into the lappie, but was explained to me that i can run the headphones from the mc3000 and sound from the lappie at same time, impossible, so was advised to purchase set of phono leads and hook it up to my hi-fi input,so im off out now to get a set, next thing i think will be some powered monitors so its more portable, but new laptop first,my Vaio is used for internet etc so a laptop dedicated to the denon only is in order end of month 🙂

Bummer to hear about your problems. Let me know if I can help. If your computer has internet, we could have a TeamViewer session so I could look at your settings. I have an MC6000, but that is essentially the 4-deck version and I have Traktor too (albeit full version). The limitations in LE are not in the essential cue/pfl bit.

I am in Holland, so pretty much the same time zone.

Drop me a personal message and we can set something up.

Thanks Chuck, I think i need to know the settings for audio set up etc and im not sure but think will be different than the MC6000 as that has a stand alone mixer option,i guessing here tho, Im going to ring Denon support mid day and see if they can talk me thru the settings over the phone, let you know what happens

    Regards

Actually im beginning to wish i never bought itnow, The controller loos and feels awesome but ive spent a total of 11 hrs within 24 hrs trying to set it up,and thats just the basics….Ive got Traktor LE with it ( Im in UK ) and everything seems to be working except the Cue/Headphones part,The basic needs of all DJs and it just will not work..Yes ive tried everything, ive re installed both LE and all the drivers etc, Ive read most threads on this site and Denondj site and generally searched the web for info and most of what ive seen is that 90% of Denon mc3000 owners with either Traktor or VDJ have had same issues…Why cant someone including Denon or Traktor put something in written format or video to explain the correct configure for this problem… Themanual is useless as doesnt explain how to set up the sound etc, wellnot from what ive seen anyway, Ive had enough and feel ive now wasted £300 on something that i cant get to work right, glad i havnt purchased my new macbook yet, dont think i be bothering now..Anyone want a Denon MC3000 for £250 brand new????

MC3000 ordered, Be here on Tues/Wednesday and cant wait, I spent amonth researching and reviewing all sorts of controllers in my price range and the MC3000 fitted the bill for me and think i have made a good choice, Nervous about the setting up with Traktor tho, all new to me, Ive been used to using the free version of VDJ with no controller for a month just to learn the basics, Im ready to move on now 🙂

Well,Ive been using the free VDJ home with no controller for about a month and loved it,then proceeded to do some research and read your tips etc on controllers for the last 3 weeks. I was down to two controllers to decide on sometimes 3 but i was always drawn to the Denon MC3000, However the Traktor s2 i was looking at 2nd hand for the same priceas the new Denon and this morning i decided to purchase the Denon online for £300 with free headphones and laptop stand, Hope ive made the right choice here tho, im sure i be happy with it and i know it will be a slow learning curve especially if i stick with Traktor le and move onto pro but i like thefacti can use VDJ with this controller too which is what im familiar with so i would prefere to use that, will have to see when it arrives,I should get it by Wednesday and cant wait, Now i need to build up my music collection..I really hope ivemadethe right choice, Its all new to me the digital thing. im from the Vinyl era of DJing back in 89-92 and done nowt since but just lovemy music and mixes…

Im also torn between Twitch and MC3000, Think the only swaying points towards the Twitch is the ease of use of effects and the many bright colours lol But Denon for quality and future use with Traktor Pro tho The Traktor software looks very complex to me compared to say VDJ and that is what is putting me off the Denon, tho i guess its just practice and starting afresh with new software, Ive been used to VDJ Free Home for months without the need of a controller and got by nicely tho haedphones and controller will improved the mixes, ive spent the best part of two weeks searching and researching the net for a controller to suit me and my budget , I like a lot of deep house, tech house and minimal so not sure if the twitch would be the right tool but sounds and looks easy to set up..Aaaaargh !! Now im confused and torn between the two again lol
