MemberIs there an easier way of communicating between the group?
DJForensic
MemberErik and Si, you’ve put the wrong date for the events, should be the 23rd

Basically, this means on the “B2B Sundays” we can all DJ on our own accounts and still be under the ‘B2B’ brand if you would. This would be a great way to get our own Mixify pages off the ground while still making the B2B name known. Let me know if this is an idea you’d be interested in, so I can relay it back to him and he can set it up.
Also, any ideas you guys have for the site, hit me up and I’ll let him know too, they really do appreciate all feedback they get and try to fit the site around everyone’s liking.
Sounds like a good idea, will definitely help to promote our own work

I’m not sure if the technocal faults were to do with the site as it seems they were having some issues yesterday. None of the recording got posted and some people were unable to set up events yesterday. I’m certainly up for making this a regular event and hopefully the B2B family will grow.
I think the issue came from the website, as a simple refresh of the page seemed to sort the problem

MemberI’m definitely up for it, I play mainly drum & bass but can also mix dubstep and tech house. Just trying to figure out how to link up virtual DJ and windows laptop, as the instructions on the site are for mac only. (As you can probably tell this is the first time I’ve done this kind of thing)

MemberLOL, you’ve just opened my eyes even further 😀 The midi fighter looks very tempting indeed, especially with the customisation as well. Will have to look around and see what my options are, thanks
DJForensic
MemberThanks, how well does the midi fighter work with VDJ?

What do you play? play out much?
I play a bit of everything really, but mainly drum & bass. Unfortunately I haven’t managed to play out yet as I only really started DJing about 5 or 6 months ago, so still learning the ropes.

I’d also seriously suggest BBC 1Xtra’s shows: D&B shows with Bailey and Crissy Criss, very, in fact, incredibly upfront D&B tunage on both their shows, just expect a long wait for some of the tunes, but really you could do a lot worse than check them out.
I’ve been listening to Friction’s show on radio 1, this has definitely broadened my horizons and has introduced me to new artists, I’ll have to check Bailey’s and Criss Criss’ shows as well thanks

Get away from the internet and speak with a live, breathing human being. I’m a firm believer your selections will have more soul for it. Nothing like hanging out with a friend and sharing music you like in person.
If you dig on the internet, another technique is to look for information instead of mp3s. Search for interviews, wikipedia, blogs and magazines. They’ll usually mention tons of other interesting and related artists and trends. These tips might be a bit old school, but I bulk listening on the internet usually means wading through tons of crap. Even with great tools like soundcloud and mp3 stores, my brain and ears go numb. Sorting through ideas keeps me inspired.
I’ve got a mate who produces D&B (although more liquid than I normally would use unfortunately) so I can chat to him because I know he has a good knowledge of the D&B world, thanks

Soundcloud was going to be my next port of call, thanks

MemberThanks for the advice, another website I’ve found in search for new music is trackitdown, this has proven to be a useful tool to finding new artists and record labels, does anyone else use it?
