I’m not sure about the scene in the U.K.; but if you’re a traveling performer in the US you should strongly consider hiring an agent or agency to represent you.

If you already have turntables and a mixer get a denon ds-1 or a Serato SL-2. Or an AKAI Pro MX if you don’t have a mixer. If you prefer controllers, then a Pioneer DDJ-SX2 will work on its own or with the DVS upgrade.

You can import into audacity as well. YOu’ll need the lame encoder to export the file to mp3.
