    2: Nothing That Involves Illicit Chemicals
    3: Nothing That Could Be Considered Harmful To Others

    You have a Beautiful Laptop (Mac is Highly Recommended for DJ Stability); with 4GB; with is Ample Ram; and over 7 Hours Battery Life is Excellent;
    Your Numark Mixtrack Pro is also Highly Recommended on this Site;
    And your Headphones are Excellent;
    Your Speakers are Not Really Ideal in order for you to Hear Specific Frequencies; but I am Sure you will be able to Upgrade at a later date 🙂
    So; a Great Start in my Opinion; and you would be able to DJ Live with this Set-Up if you Chose to; (bearing in mind that the Club would have their Own PA System) 😎

    If your venues have there own sound system then your speakers will be ok for home use otherwise get some new one’s second hand will do for start but remember when you buy you have to carry the the speakers ,good speakers are normally heavy

    Have you looked at the following:

    Have you looked at the MC-6000 by denon? Or better yet, the best bang for the buck the American Audio VMs-4. I’ve heard some pretty good reviews of that controller. I think he did one here at digitaldjtips.com…

    Have looked at the Denon and it looks ideal so have to save to get it

I come from a Numark total control to BCD:3000 (so cool) to the RMX (this is when I really started to make money), to the Denon’s with a behringer DDM-4000 (Awesome mixer, just the cross fader kept getting shorted out, if I hadda known about the X1 infinium or innofader, I would not have sold it, but I wanted a USB interface to my music) to my Xone:DB4.

    I dig the rmx mixer, you can litterally do ANYTHING with it. Just avoid certain things (IMO). Make sure you update your drivers and the firmware. The sound card is questionable, but certain rules I follow:

    Remember, Hercules actually USED to make very decent sound cards back in the day for PC’s, so the soundcard should be somewhat decent, just gotta follow some rules:

    1) Use the quarter inch unbalanced output jacks vs. the RCA jacks. They are +4dBU if you are connecting to a PA system. That will help your sound quite a bit. I keep a pair of Quarter inch to RCA’s, along with some Quarter inch jacks in my ‘magic blue box’.

    2) Don’t use the mic on the soundcard. Get an external mixer for the effects. It’s just easier to deal with vs. using the combo of software/hardware for your microphone. For weddings in stuff I use a pretty simple setup, including my xenyx 1204FX by behringer. It’s easier for me to control mic’s that way. When I used to have an analog mixer, it just works….

    3) Update the firmware and your drivers. As one of my team members (because I don’t wanna call them my employee’s) says…That’s MUCHO IMPORTANTE, Captain Ahab….

    BTW
    the Xone:DB4 is my new buddy (I call it the control center). A VERY nice controller. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I wish there was a hack to make it analog.

    Cheers man
