Participant“electronic music” comes in many forms. Do you play any specifics genres? Or are you dabbling in it all? Are you set on what you like to play at this moment? Or are you young and exploring? Doesn’t mean you have to stay with it forever…but I’m trying to gauge your style, or if you haven’t found that yet.
“Modern” and “Aggressive” helps…but many do that.
Who are your favorite DJs and Artists? Who or what do you get inspiration from?
Where are you from?
What gear do you use now? What gear would be your ideal setup?
Let’s see what you come up with now. 🙂

ParticipantDesign students can be helpful. Buy them food or booze and they might hook you up.
Hell…tell me right now what your branding is. List adjectives, genre names, and any other words you can think of that you want to use to describe yourself as a DJ or artist.

ParticipantSend your files to blogs where they can post them with a download…a freebie.
Eventually some labels will come calling on you to make remixes or tunes.
Try remix contests as well.

ParticipantIt sounds like big room house. Nothing more.

ParticipantI agree with Phil.
Plus…take a break from the noise. Our ears can handle some loudness…but not a constant state of it.

ParticipantWhich M-Audio Controller?
I used an Xponent until a month ago with Traktor. Mappings exist. If not, you could easily sell it on Ebay.

ParticipantI’d get some cleaner for electronics. Stuff you would use to clean TVs, DVD players, etc.
That and some compressed air to blow the dust out of the crevices.
Clean it like you would clean your laptop.

ParticipantIt does make me want to make a Meow Mix remix set for Traktor.
