thanks for part 1 of my answer:)
can i use it simultaneously with my standart controller?

I listen to VirtualDJ Live Streaming radio. has 3 different stations (trance, house, hip-hop) and have every song tracklisted. love it.

    4) (Bonus) Whatever D-Jam says. He usually posts in threads I’m in – and then somebody always posts “I think D-Jam nailed it.” So, for just once, I’d like to get ahead of his mighty hammer!!

    ^ THERE IT IS!

    ^ what he said 🙂

I wouldn’t really recommend the ERGO or WEGO to anyone. In my honest opinion, there are many better controllers at their price point.

allright ill try and work with it some more. its REALLY starting to aggrivate. BPM tap works with 60% of the songs, and the other 40% it just does not want to obey

I think denon just dropped one down to 399…name slipping my mind right now. also the twitch is 399. i dont know about hooking a serious controller for 250-300

I’d give you a friendly warning against downloading requests and playing them mid-set.

    1. you may not know the song, and it may sound poor, or just be goofy in generall

    MOST IMPORTANTLY:

having an internet browser and wifi antenna up while dj-ing is bad enough (opens your computer up to crashes, freezes, takes up ram and slows computer down)
but DOWNLOADING something onto your musical instrument mid-set can literally crash your computer (it happened to me) not a virus, jsut the strain of adding files and accumulating data while performing tasks for traktor…a request is just not worth the risk IMO.

    Numark Electrowave

Good: Great isolation and tone – tight, so they stay on head during head bobbing
Bad: Earcups only pivot, only 5 degrees of swivel

    well.

not as well. scratching still works, just not as tightly mapped. id be willing to bet you won’t notice

Concidering myself fresh on DJing and quite unexperienced, I really need tips on this particular theme. I normally stick to three effects while mixing with my Traktor and S4, where Beatmasher and Delay is mostly used for the buildups. I’m not so familliar with the looping except from the fade overs – I love looping a particular part of a song with the particular text that people normally remember or know, so that when I faded the song completely, I go straight into some dope drop of the song so the crowd goes insane. Not used too commonly as they would get tired of this. Same goes with beatmashing and delaying – Doing this about 5-10 sec before the drop of a song goes down really helps me make the crowd go wild!

Sounds like a good post for your own thread, doesn’t seem to belong on this one 🙂

SAME THING HERE! I can read most blog posts, but all the “Review & Video” Blogs freeze up! Never happened before….started happening just recently….i wanna read about the DDJ-SX!!! hahaha

in reply to: How do you mix DJ 'unfriendly' tracks? #31167

That’s exactly the thing you need to keep in mind. Whenever I am looking at new remixes i may want to add to my inventory, the FIRST thing i always ask myself is “would a crowd like this song?”. If i myself can’t seem to get into the vibe of the song, it doesnt make the cut.

Also, love the way you lie is a pretty slow song….with lyrics that are a downright buzzkill (in my opinion), so the song selection in the first place may have been a misstep 🙂

in reply to: Is the Mixtrack Pro still relevant? #31166

As you can see form my picture, im biased 😉

Despite the new offerings from Denon, i still think the MTP has the most bang-for-buck at this price point. It simply is cheaper than all the other consumer controllers without going into ‘toy’ range.

I think it’s fair to say that until you see Numark come out with a Mixtrack successor, they feel that the MTP is the one to beat. As soon as they roll out a MTP 2.0, you’ll know there are some other viable options for beginner DJ’s

Same as Hee, all those popular top40 songs the punters come out for have a bajillion remixes….of almost any “EDM” genre. just cruize around Beatport for the remix that you think the crowd will like, yet is also easy to mix with
