    Hi, Rubenzki.

    I am using Ableton Live 8. I have used it for a while now in my DJ’ing, in the form of editing / prepping tracks etc… but I still have a lot to learn about the software and what it can do 🙂

    I use DJCity.com & DJCity.co.uk (access to both under one subscription fee). I have found this to be the best mp3 pool for my own needs and all of the tracks are 320kbps MP3’s with unlimited downloads. I would definitely recommend checking them out

    With “Club Sound Volume 12” I have decided to “funk” it up a bit, and created a “Funky Club / House” mix.

    My usual genre is Big Room Dance, however Funky Club is a genre i am really getting into at the moment.

    My style is big room dance/house and until this year i was subscribed to a CD Pool with a company called “CD Pool”. They specialise in both extended edits for club DJs and radio edits for party DJs etc…

    They often sell their previous years bundles at a discounted price, so this may be a easy way of building up your collection quickly with out paying a subscription fee. Check em out @ http://www.cdpool.com

    When it comes to these horror stories, top 40 or not, there seems to be one common factor that keeps popping up over and over again… Promoters who really don’t seem to know what they are doing?!

    Luckily for my self, I have a solid residency that allows me to do my own thing. But this has meant I haven’t really had the “pleasure” of dealing with these types of promoters.

    But thanks to fellow DJs on DDJT, my eyes have been opened and hopefully that might help save me from any potential horror stories of my own

    Thanks Jake. When DJ’ing at my resudancy i use various different mixing styles & techniques.

    My aim with the “Club Sound Series” was to make bite size big room house mixes, that sounded simple and professional at the same time.

    But i might take your idea on board and vary the mixing styles.

    Good to see some big room dance & house heads out there 🙂

    I use a combination of Soundcloud and Mixcrate to get my mixes out there. The reason I use these two sites over any others, is that they both allow the listener to download the mix.

    Every fortnight I create and upload a mix in a series I am doing called “Club Sound”. These mixes contain big room dance and big room house anthems. The ability for the user to be able to download my mixes is a very important aspect for me as it allows my mixes to be listened to and played basically anywhere, and along with the odd name drop and well tagged MP3 file, it is great way to get my name out there.

    http://www.soundcloud.com/dj-ky-3 – (Soundcloud is a very popular, well known and very well designed website but the downside is that mixes can disappear at the drop of a hat due to copyright issues)

    http://www.mixcrate.com/djyaka – (Mixcrate has no copyright issues that I have encountered, but on the down side it is probably not as popular or well respected as Soundcloud)
