I’m in the exact same position as you Joon! I’m really stuck between the SC3900’s and the CDJ900’s. I’ve been able to rent a pair of 900’s for a week, but i dislike how rough the jog is, and the pitch fader seems worse than 1000mk3s. Although HID midi support was just released for traktor (2.5.1). Im hoping to try the sc3900s somewhere. Ive seen soo many review videos…any advice??

At the end of the day it’s whatever you feel comfortable wearing around, as well as sound quality. I personally like my Xone XD-53’s but i have used alot of other headphones and find that they are the easiest to move around, and look pretty good too. But in terms of comfort if you’re going to be wearing them for hours (aka not just for cueing) then the v-moda crossfade lp’s are like cushions on your ears. AND YOU DEFF DONT USE THE BEATS PROS for extended periods of time. kills your ear cartilage…i mean its fucking painful.

Haha, i do realize that’s what it comes down to in the end, but i wanted to get a second opinion.

Let me change my original question a bit.
what if they were cdj 900’s instead of 850’s.

I personally mix with all genres and styles, at least try to. My personal preference is generally EDM, but i want the equipment to suit any style of mixing.
