Let Discuss… #2204641ParticipantI have actually called up few reputed Discotheque and requested them to allow me to perform for free so that I can test my set-up and I have informed them that I have not performed earlier as a DJ infront of a big crowd however played Bass Guitar in our Band which was infront of large crowd.
I have also said I don’t mind if it they allow me to perform on an odd day when the customers are less or during the initial part of the day before the actual DJ arrives.
The Managers have agreed to give me a try saying that they have never done that before allowing their platform to be used by Freejay but they were convinced by me that it would be a good try.
Do you think it’s a good idea to reach out to people and leave an impression, bearing all the expenses as an Investment for something Good ?
Actually I want to do DJ as I got double Slipped Disk for playing heavy Guitars and for other issues and I cant perform stand-holding a Bass guitar and I am already replaced with another bassist and for this I am missing the Audience Claps, Noisy Support and actually to be honest money is secondary for me at the moment as I work in a company from Mon-Friday with some amount to spend on the Basic needs of life.
I had got other plans on mind but I want to earn(sometime in future) from where I enjoy…

My Bass is a Ibanez Bass with an Active Pick up with replaceable battery inside however my Acquostic Guitar has an option(inbuilt pickup) to put in a cable for output.
The issue is with my budget as of now as I dint even get a single program.. 🙂 So will keep the idea of buying a mixer with good effect on hold for the moment and would go with a simple PA mixer at the moment, if it is required to perform?? 🙂

How to get Gigs…especially the 1st one ????
ParticipantI would like to add my bass guitar to the audio board…or if i can I would directly input my microphone there in the board…
In our Music band we used to use one to plug Guitars, Bass, MIcrophone, Keynoard etc to one board which has equalizer like “Yamaha MG10”.
In a DJ program I saw people using a 5 channel Audio Board or Behringer next to the DJ machine…
I want to know will it be important or I might only require it only if I have to play guitar along with DJing…

But ya how to show the purchase of music over iTunes…I could not even see the kbps information and purchase details…Ofcourse I am new to Apple maybe thats the case that I am unable to find.
The iTunes also had one common issue: Titanium of David Guetta was listed as Rs. 15/- each however when I clicked on ‘Buy’ Rs 60/- got deducted from my Credit Card 🙁

When I perform I want to be tension free and I want to go home after performance and I do not want to see a Police Station or Jail…
About Some Indian Pubs and Events..
It is rare…but if Police Raids any Club or Bar or Pub for illegal activities such as Drugs, Immoral Trafficking, Disturbance to Nature and Environment….they do their best to squeeze money from all unauthorized activities.
This includes Permit, NOC, Performance License, Royalty Clearance Certificate for the songs that will be played and most importantly a PERMIT from Nearest Police Station for the show.
Most of these permits needs to be Fulfilled by Event Organiser or the Owner of the PUB/Club…However to be on the safe side…you need to have a License to Perform the music of others..as just buying them online or through CDs may not give you a right to perform in Public…
If you have all, then no one can trouble you at all…However if any of these is missing, then You NEED to RELY on your LUCK…
