ParticipantThank you DJ Vintage for sharing this idea..
That’s a good idea infact ๐
It may however be difficult if there is a fixed stage and we have no scope to rearrange it..yes ofcourse can put some bags of boxes so that the area is blocked… ๐

ParticipantThank you very much for your reply, DJ Chris… ๐
I am happy that the lady could not drop her champagne…. Perhaps she dint even know how worse she could have spoilt your equipments and laptop…God..People can be so crazy sometimes…
In our place we have one more issue…If we are playing in a Bar or Pub for free in the place of a paid DJ….we even get threatening not to perform and our equipment and the event as a whole become risky..what if some spoilsports get in and intentionally try to do some harm…
Anyways, what you said was right..I need to check with the Event Manager..atleast they can do something to save my hard earned equipments and mac.
I am also planning to get something of Decksaver material to Prevent from flying objects from directly hitting my macbook or my DJ Console as people would be dancing going crazy with the tracks and all of a sudden you see a Beer Can or Burning Cigarette come flying to you…
Thank you very much once again…
God Bless…

ParticipantThank you very much Dom James..
I really appreciate your advise…
I wish we had any such insurance plan for India.. We are on our own here sadly. However I have sent an email to the djguard.co.uk customer service to know if they have any such services in India.
However till then I might something of my to protect the equipments, such as plastic wraps, Cover…dont know how I can save my equipment.
As I perform for free(till I am recognised), any damage in my equipment will mean end of my passion to be a DJ…

ParticipantThank you DJ bob6397,
I am using Mixtrack quad and I use it on Macbook Air 13″ on VDJ Limited Edition.
To buy VDJ pro it will cost me around Rs.24,000.00 in INR which is of the same price as my controller.
Can I use those samples which are provided free by NUMARK on purchase of Controllers as I received it with VDJ LE.
Please advise…
DJ NShyap
ParticipantWell said. I am so hopefull now to use VDJ LE till I can afford to buy full version….I would have been in a shock if all my cue points would have had to be redone in Tracktor or Serato because crash issues.

Participant**Could you please help me with the following:
I was listening to partycloud.fm and I found an option “SFX“. It was seriously an amazing effect. How can I get that feature to perform. Can I buy any PA system to get the effect or can I download some update for my VDJ?
I use Macbook Air and Mixtrack Quad.
Please advise,
Thank you very much for your time and help..

ParticipantThank you very much for your assistance. It really worked…and also I am trying other ways to transit a song by playing loops till I can hit at the right time.

ParticipantThank you DJ Vintage for the reply
Yes the correct word is ‘Transition’ that I wanted to mean by mentioning ‘Merge’.
After transition is complete and Track B is playing, the sound of the track becomes low like an emptiness.
Is it something I need to do to avoid it..so that the Controller Mixer doesnot make the sound go off making the feel of emptiness with only Track B playing..
THe time of 5-6 seconds I have mentioned as an example which I actually wait to find out the right time to switch off Track A completely.
The main problem is the low energy of music…I want to mix like professional DJ…where people cant even find out when the 2nd track came in…
But when I do…I listen to the Track B through my headphone and then I slowly increase the Channel Fader of B to increase the Volume until it is audible in external speakers and then after about 5-7 seconds I reduce the Track A volume slowly via Channel Fader itself.
Please help…
DJ NShyap
ParticipantHi DJ Bob6397,
Thank you for your reply ๐
I use mainly Channel Fader and I tend to keep the Cross fader in the Center.
I keep the channel fader of Track B at 0 (Zero).
Then I listen to the Track B through my headphone and then I slowly increase the Channel Fader of B to increase the Volume until it is audible in external speakers and then after about 5-7 seconds I reduce the Track A volume slowly via Channel Fader itself.
I use Cross Fader Very very rarely..
Is it where I am doing the mistakeโฆ???
Please advice..
DJ NShyap
ParticipantLet me explain in a simpler way…
I am playing Track A and its time to play Track B…..so I have chosen a Cue Point of Track B to mix and start Track B…
However during the phase of merging(dont know the actual term), I reduce the volume of Track A and slowly increase the volume of Track B…
At a point both the Tracks Equalizer will be at the same point (for eg. at EQ 5) and both the music tracks are playing together..
However when I reduce the Track A music further(on the Controller Mixer equalizer) and increase Track B further…the music strength loses until I put the Track B song at a volume higher than original volume label of Track A…
In the entire process, I am introducing the new track and fading out the old track slowly.
I dont know might what am I doing wrong… ๐
