Memberwell… i’m done with this.
the overwhelming word is that this is not gonna work. the IDT driver and panel are buggy / doesn’t keep the settings. the settings don’t work on top of that. there are no hacks or workarounds out there that get this to work.
going with the easy solution is sometimes the best solution – i just had to hit my head against the wall repeatedly for that to sink in.
but, i did learn a lot about ASIO driver, latency, IDT, configuring Traktor Pro 2, my Dell and the resources out there in this community and throughout the web!
thanks for all of your feedback!

MemberThis thread is buy far the most helpful one I’ve found on getting the sound set up on a NI product. I can’t get this thing figured out, either.
I don’t wanna jack this thread, but from what I have seen, everyone says set Audio Device in Audio Setup to “ASIO”.
No one talks about how to set the Built-In Soundcard. The choices are the same as the Audio Device. Should everyone select “ASIO”, also??? Maybe no one talks about this setting because it doesn’t matter and I just don’t know b/c I’m a noob.
I look forward to reading the rest of this thread!

Memberooo… a development!
i took snapshots the audio devices on my machine. i see both the X-Fi Notebook and the IDT HD audio listed as devices. the logitech device is a USB soundbar that has a headphone output (will allow me to have “USB headphones when some headphones are plugged in).
even in Traktor, the X-Fi, IDT, and Soundbar are listed.
i’m gonna remove the USB sound bar and see if i can get the X-Fi and the IDT to play nicely in Traktor.
i’ll let you know how it goes…

MemberThanx, Kuzzy… I appreciate it. I think I’ll be going with the Creative X-Fi plus the internal IDT HD Audio. I have posted this question on the Traktor and Numark forums, too. If I hear other thoughts and workarounds to this question, I’ll let you know.
