MemberThe Pio is way too overpriced.. For me it would be an easy decision since I am a Traktor user.. in the end it comes down to what software you use (in this case).

MemberFor me it’s Sennheiser HD-205.. They are my main cans but I also carry a backup set of IEMs (AKG IP-2) because backing up everything is always welcome and IEMs are small enough to fit in a pocket and not get in the way. The 205 are great cans for the (low) price, try them out.

MemberMainstream house night, dude comes up and asks for Nothing else matters (MetallicA).. a good song but the most out-of-place-and-time request ever..

MemberFor me it’s mostly mainstream house live and it was mainstream house when I first started out (man I am boring..)
But to answer the question in the name of the thread, my favourite genre of music when it comes to mixing is Deep house.. just comes naturally for me there 🙂

MemberIMHO a lot of “classic” DJs are attracted to Serato because it differs the least from using a regular setup.. you can literally use your laptop just as a very big CD case if you want..

MemberFor me it is Traktor for the past year and atm I am thinking if I should go for the T2.

MemberTop40/mainstream house nights: The world is mine, let the bass kick in Miami, Inna – Hot..
Electro/Dubstep nights: any Skrillex or mt. Eden tune..
Funky house nights: Sing it back (Boris Musical rmx), Moment of my life..
Old school techno nights: Sandstorm and the theme from Blade..These are the tracks I bring out in such moments to bring the heat up. But keep in mind that in most cases it is easier just to get the girls to dance.. because when girls dance, the men follow 😉

MemberOne question then (for everyone here): do you think a starter controller should have a sound interface built in or should the new guys get it separately? (e.g. Mixtrack or Mixtrack Pro)
I’m real interested in your opinions on this 🙂
