look into a Denon Mc-6000 it works independently no need of Software, if you just want to use it as a audio card with your laptop you can…. if you want to connect a aux cable it works, if you want to use Cd’js or turn tables it works. and plus its 1000% better made then the DMS 4!

I Used it today at Samash ( music and equipment store) and to be totally honest i didn’t like it at all it was totally disappointing, my Denond Mc-6000 is by far better made, the jog wheels, faders, buttons, are very cheaply made, and plus i would not buy a equipment that is Software dependable! my personal suggestion is if you want it just because is a Pioneer, and because its “club stander” look into other products.

I totally agree….i cannot Dj with out controllers, faders etc.

I also spent half the night looking for the caps on the faders cause they fly off if you flick them too hard. Buy some glue or bags of replacement fader caps. Overall it just wasn’t what I was looking for in my dj experience. I felt like I was hunched over this tiny unit instead of having space and interacting with the crowd. Build quality of the Denon is top notch.
i agree that the faders fly off and the buttons are cramped, but i think you didn’t give it the chance, i love my Denon and i’ll never regret the purchase. i think of it as a mixer if i ever want to star using Cdj’s or turntables i don’t need to buy a new mixer i can use my trusty Denon Mc-6000 ;)..

MemberI am Currently a Traktor pro user…. i started using Virtual Dj, Changed to traktor pro, no more then 6 month ago, I currently love it but there’s always a question in my head why 90% the Clubs that i go to the dj is using SERATO! i understand that its Video enable but….. i see no big difference, so the question is if i get a gig at a Club i need to be using Serato? and Why?. i do not scratch, so i would like for a Serato user to tell me Why they love Serato?
