The Denon MC6000 has a built in proper club mixer and is to be used in external mode
when used with Traktor as well as with external soundsources.
Then there is no difference between MC6000 and external clubmixer IMO…..

You should NOT use the LE version of .tsi
    but the other one.

    Try the following:

1 On page 12 in the Denon MC3000 manual it says how to set up the USB Audio inputs and outputs.
Check in settings of Traktor that it is set up exactly as stated in the manual.

If that does not help try downloading the .tsi from Denondj.com

    Papa Bear:
As we say in sweden “There is no shortcuts to the perfect sound!”
That is why I do it that way with 4 different programs doing what they should do the best way possible 🙂

I would say it is very much like a 1/3 of a MC 6000
(1/3 is mixer and 2xSC2000 the other 2/3s)
But a bit better because there is a bit larger buttons and a bit more space between knobs and buttons.
I did think the same way as you but as I already had my S3700 and X1700
and wanted something smaller to bring where my main setup did not fit so I went with the MC6000 wich I also like.

Bare in mind also that if you absolutely do not need 4 channels you have the 2 channel X600 mixer wich takes smaller space. I have tested the X600 together with the SC2000 as well and it is also a very good mixer well in the same class as the X1600 sound and buidqualitywise 🙂

All three (X600 X1600 and X1700 are traktor certified so you can use their soundcard directly with Traktor :-))

I do it this way (Mac):
1 Rip in Toast to AIFF
2 Run them in Platinum Notes (that converts them to MP3 320kbps CBR)
    3 Run them in MIK
    4 Tag them in Jaikoz
And the result is very good IMO

I have the x1700 and have tested all the new Pio mixers and Rane and A&H
My conclution is that I would not change my X1700 to any other mixer as the x1700 it is the
absolute best mixer I can find for me.

I also have tested the X1600 together with one SC2000 and it is a very good combination (even better with two SC2000s!

The reason why I love my X1700 is that Denon has put in the absolute best parts that money can buy in it.
That results in a soundquality above any other mixer on the market and a mixer that will last for decades!
Also you can preset a lot of things so that it works as you want it to wich is a very good thing, the preset can then be saved on a USB stick so if you have the mixer in a club every DJ can have his prefered settings on an USB stick……

The X1600 and X1700 has the same soundcard so the biggest two differences is that x1700 has 2x efx units and the x1600 has some more buttons for DVS

You will not be dissapointed with any of them!

If you have any questions about the X1700, X1600 or SC2000 I will gladly answer them here!

You can not use VDJ Home with any controller, just Keyboard
You can not change skin in VDJ LE
What you have to do is to upgrade to Basic or Pro
Here is a comparsioncart so that you can see what the different versions can do and not can do:

What do you mean by that the channel faders do not work??
Do they not affect the sound at all?? Or does the faders on screen not move when you move the sliders?

You need to run the setup and chose Denon MC3000 and external mixer!

Well then we have too look into it in onother way….

the channel faders and the monitor cues and volume do not work.

The main volume should work as in higher and lower the volume
but it is by default not affecting the main volume in Traktor.
Because it is a hardware analouge volume in MC3000 that does not affect the digital
master volume in Traktor. That is because the sound gets a bit better that way!
You can if you want map the master volume on MC3000 to the master volume in T2
but you will have a decrece in soundquality…….

As you are a owner of an external built in mixer on your MC3000
You shoud select exernal mixer in the settings and then the other problems should be solved as well!
A bonus is that you now can take away the mixer section in your T2 window and have more space for other
things (that is also done in settings) Refer to your T2 user manual……

I hope that I am right about this now!

    Otherwise please let me know!

It is a question that is a bit hard to answer shortly.

There are several different types of joggs (touch sensitive, pressure sensitive and spinning platter)
And several ways of how they act, usualy you can chose with a button or preset how you want them to act.
Also when used in MIDI you can MIDI map the joggs to whatever you want for example you can map them to efects or to scroll in your music librory……

Did you test the .tsi that is in T2Pro?
If you run the setup and chose Denon MC3000??
That is the current one that Denon recommends and it should work….

Also did you update Traktor Pro 2 to the latest verion??

There is a knob on your mixer to the right (below cue gain) that is marked cue mix.
Try setting it to zero! All the way to the left. Problem solved……?
