ParticipantKlara.
IMO go for the MC3000. It has very good sound, metall chassies, great quality in buttons and knobs and good joggs
In a not too big package…. It is built like a tank and will last for very long….Pär Hessler
ParticipantThat is a hard question to answer.
If you run CDs you could get a pair of Denon S1200/S3700 or CDJ400/850/900
Because they run MIDI, USB and CD. That way you can run whatever you want and you can still
use your Mixer 🙂
Or if CD/USB is not important you can go for a pair of Denon SC2000 MIDI controllers to go with your mixer.Eather that or an MC6000/30000 S2/S4 IMO

ParticipantI do not understand the last line:
“I am not sure how good is the sound from it and the model is a little bit old”
MC6000 is as I recon not a bit older than S4 but the other way around. The sound in MC6000 is considdered the best you can get in a controller!
Also the MC6000 has better quality in chassie, buttons and knobs than the other two.The only con is that you have to upgrade the LE to pro if you are in EU or buy a pro if you are in US.
I would go for the MC6000 if I were you!
But you should go to a store and compare the sound and quality yourself IMO!

ParticipantThere are a lot of reasons why CDJ’s are better than controllers.
Here are some of the arguments:1: A modern CDJ can play CD Waw, CD MP3, USB sticks, HDD, MIDI and DVS. (you can use them as controllers as well)
A controller can only controll software.2: A laptop is not a pro DJ gear but a home/office product that is not build for a club enviroment like a CDJ is.
That can cause problems. CDJs are buit for that enviroment.3: DJs using laptops tend to look mora at the screen then on the dancefloor.
A DJ is an entertainer and should not be looking at a screen hiding from the crowd…..4: There is a Sync button on controllers that many CDJ users considder cheating.
5: The controllers are considdered bedroom DJ gear and CDJs Pro DJ gear.

ParticipantWell that is up to you but IMO Mixtrack is bedroom DJ gear and is not Pro DJ (when you get paid)
But I know that other people think different so if you feel good with your mixtrack you could
do some giggs to get the money. I would just tell you that the MC6000 IMO is a better chice than the S4
Because of what I wrote earlier. But you should test all in a store before purchase IMO!!

ParticipantI would say: Go for the Denon MC6000 or MC3000!
Simply because they have better quality.
Steekl chassies instead of plastic as the S4
Better quality in knobs and buttons
And IMO the S4 is hugh while the MC6000/3000 is in a rather good small size.See 4 youself:

ParticipantYes!
See your other post for more info!
You proberbly have Traktor set to internal mix and you should have it set to external mixer!
Pär Hessler
ParticipantFirst of, be sure to have the software set to external mixer!
Then see to it that you have upgraded your MC6000 AND software (Traktor?) to the latest version.
On Denondj.com there is a .TSI file. Be sure to use it.If problem still exist! Clame warranty.
The MC6000 is the best damn controller on the market and very far from crap, but you might anyhow have had very bad luck and got a bad unit. If that is the case you have the warranty and you should get it fixed.
Please reply on how it develpoes and I shall try to help you to get satisfied with your MC6000 🙂
Pär Hessler
ParticipantHi Prototype1!
I am glad it helped and I hope that you now are satisfied with your MC3000 🙂The mix was very good IMO for the first one on your new gear, thank you for charing!

I have ripped a lot from CDs and there is a lot of other places I look at one is Beatport…
Pär Hessler
ParticipantThat you have to read about in the manual for traktor.

ParticipantI do not know bcause I do not buy music from iTunes even if I am a big fan of Apple.
The soundquality in iTunes is IMO verty bad!
A friend of mine even got his money back when he claimed bad sound on tracks he had bought.
We both use Denon MC6000 wich usualy has pro quality hifi sound 🙂Pär Hessler
ParticipantNo I do not think that there is such a tuturial.
But here is a good scratchvid:

and here is one with joggwheels:

ParticipantIt would be found in Traktor?
Just run setup and chose Mixtrak Pro in Traktor software…..Or you can find some mappings (.tsi) here:

ParticipantIMO the best controllers are in order:
1 Denon MC6000
2 Denon MC3000
3 Numark NS6
4 None
5 None
6 NI S4
7 NI S2Then comes the rest
And if you are on low budget the Numark Mixtrak pro is recommended by me.Pioneer DDJ T1 is not among my top controllers because it is too big, low quality (for the price) and has not the extras that the others on the top list has.. The only thing that makes it sell at all IMO is that it has the Pioneer logo on it!
So the S4 would be a better choice. But the S4 does not have the same quality as the MC3000/6000 and NS6
The NS6 is also big but it has a good quality on the controller BUT it runs on ITCH and is not so good for Traktor/VDJ as the layout is for ITCH.
Denon MC6000 and MC3000 are buit like tanks and has very good quality on buttons/knobs.
They are also small and has a lot of extras….Therefore I recommend that you take a look at the S4 and MC6000 to campare them:
