That is correct and exactly how I do it and has done since the Denon D2000F,
Just don’t do that simultainisly.
Use only one hand and you should be fine????//DJ Hessler

ParticipantI do not understand why you move the pitch slider at the same time as you push pitch bend?? Just don’t!
Do as all others one thing at a time. If you hear that the sond is ahead, break a little with pitch bend and then move the pitch slider a bit more to -.//DJ Hessler

Participant1 It depends on how you are used to DJ. Some DJs must have a both monitor to be able to listen to their mix and some don’t use it. It can not only be used for monitor in the DJ booth it can be used as zone mixer to play other music in another room…..
2 The major difference between NS6 and DDJ-S1 is that NS6 has 4 channels and DDJ-T1 2.
There is other differences for instance the jogwheels on the NS6 is IMO better and from
what I’ve heard also the buildquality is better on NS6. If you are used to Pioneers layout the DDJ-S1 is familar
but IMO the layout is better on NS6. I have seen the NS6 IRL and I can asure you that it does not look like a toy.
Bear in mind that the 2 extra channels can be used for hooking up external units lika an iPod if the computer for some reason must be restarted or that if you play in a party someone needs to hook up a cd player or other.
I play only two channels but has used the other many times for different reasons on my X1700.3 Yes
A tip: Go to a store and test both unitsf or yourself 🙂

ParticipantI suggest that you two buy a controller with built in soundcard.
The cheapest that IMO is something to throw many at is the Numark Mixtrack Pro.Otherwise you will need a soundcard and for DJ purpose I would suggest getting a NI Audio 4
If you look at the money it will proberbly be more cost effective with the built in soundcard
and also more portable = one less device to bring. Also IMO Jimmy should reconsidder not swaping from Windows Vista as it is IMO the worst OS that money can buy.

ParticipantI do not agree on this.
The high end stuff comes first then the low entery cheaper stuff IMO
It was not long ago Denon anounced their X1600/X600 MC6000 SC2000
And the S3700 and X1700 is still the best Media player and mixer on the planet IMO.
Not long ago Pio anounced DJM2000 CDJ2000 CDJ900 and 2 expencive controllers.
Not long ago Numark releced their NS6
Not long ago NI anounced S4
All pro stuffNow Denon has a 2chan thing coming (if the picture is right)
Pio has their 2 new cheaper controllers
Numark has a new layout on Mixtrack pro and a lot of other stuff that I cannot keep record on
NI has a 2 channel controller (S2 if I remember it right)So there it is.
First the Prostuff then the cheaper versions for the bedroom DJsI will also add that it is not always expencive to buy the Pro stuff atleast not if you are a Pro DJ
You sometimes get what you pay for and I for one will gladly keep paying for the Pro gear.
I want to be sure that things work 100% so that I can consentrate on my music and not on how to work around lack of functions/broken gear!Pär Hessler
ParticipantIt seems to be a good unit but I do not like the layout!
For example the pitchfaders should be next to the jogwheels and not above!//DJ Hessler

ParticipantSerato (As in Serato scratch live) would work with any MIDI cintroller.
But Serato Itch isn’t sold separatly it only works with the controllers
that is bundled with ITCH.
But if you have Ableton, why not use that??//DJ Hessler
Pär Hessler
ParticipantYes the .tsi is the mappingfile.
Hope that you get it to work 🙂

ParticipantI have a hard time thinking of something to help you but one thing:
Go to a store and test the two units and see for yourself. The two has IMO the same good buildquaility.
I would not pay a penny for a unit without joggwheels, it is for me as essential as the playbutton.
You should think again there if it is OK without joggs??I have heard nothing but good things about the NS6 and I tested it myself a while ago
I do think that Numark has stept up a big leap with the buildquality of this unit. The Twitch I do not know and has not heard as much of more than what you can find on the net.
But Serato is known of making top quality hardware so I do not think that the quality should be an issue. And to make it even more difficult for you to decide I would tip you about the Stanton SCS.4DJ
It has all things inside the box = no laptop just plug & play.
All I have heard and seen in tests says “It just works” but it has not so many featuers.
It might be worth to check out for you anyway….//DJ Hessler

ParticipantIt is proberbly a hardware problem but.
You scould be sure to have all the latest updates for S4 and T2 installed b4 giving up.//DJ Hessler

ParticipantI think it is a MIDI mapping issue, I could not find any mapping for DDM4000 and Traktor 2
You might use a mapping for Traktor 1??
Is that the case then you have to check the mapping and try to find a mapping for T2 or make your own mapping…..But first. Have you read and done as it stands in the Traktor 2 getting started PDF that comes with Traktor??

ParticipantThere is a lot of 1200/1210 in the used market wich shold be at least 1/2 the price of a new one.
Other than that Stanton and Numark has some good TTs (just don’t buy beltdrived)If you want to keep it MIDI take a look at Denon S3700 but the pricetag might be of limits.
The S3700 is the only digital hardware with built in timecode for all DVS systems with hybrid MIDI….//DJ Hessler

ParticipantI agree on Phil on this one.
Traktor is a very complex program that takes a lot of time to learn/configure if you are going to use its full potential.
VDJ is more plug and play.
Both SW has + and -.//DJ Hessler
Pär Hessler
ParticipantThere is two + two versions.
If you need timecode there is two versions of T2 scrtach T2S Duo/Pro
If you don’t need timecode there is two versions Duo / proSo if you use some kind of spinning platter you need timecode otherwise you don’t.
Duo or Pro you have to check the link above to see what version you need.
Duo has 2 decks and less support to change views, fewer efx and some other limitations.
Pro has all the extras 4 deck or 2 deck +8 samledecks or 3 decks and 4 samledecks.
A lot of efx and so on……. You have to decide if it is woth the extra money….//DJ Hessler
