ParticipantNo Reloop is not that bad if you compare to others in the same rate of gear.
But Denon is not in that segment of gear so if you compare Denon MC3000 to Reloop Jockey 3
It is like I stated earlier IMO.
It is IMO a bit to compare a BMW, Mercedes or Porche to a cheap Seat or Fiat Unu IMO.
The Seat takes you from A to B but how fun is it compared to a BMW M5??
And when the Seat is to be scrapped the BMW has double time left before it is time for it to be scraped!Pär Hessler
Participanteros, post: 10380 wrote: Thanks for all that info guys. Any recommendations on how to get started learning Ableton ?
Yes, the hard way like I did it.
By reading the manuals:Pär Hessler
Participant+1 to that.
I recommend 1 or 4. but if you can spend the extra money the Denon MC3000 has more to give and has better quality.

ParticipantTraktor Scratch pro is for timecode for using with vinyl or CD players.
As I can see the Mixvibes VFX has no motorized spinning platters so I
would answer No you do not need Traktor scratch.I would like to know what version you are using now. I can see 1.2.4
but is it LE, Duo or what??Pär Hessler
Participant?? Phil, next in buisness ??
After Denon S3700 and better than Pioneer CDJ2000 that is or what??:confused:I have heard from a store that sells all kind of gear that the VCI jogs are really bad
but I have not tested myself…..:eek:Pär Hessler

Reloop does not stand a chance as it is a cheap toy in comparsion to the pro DJ gear from Denon IMO

ParticipantI would guess not so very important, but I saw when doing a search in Google that most users of M44-7
uses the technics 1200 headshells so it would proberbly be a good recommendation.
Other than that I would look for gold platted connectors on the headshell….
The cold car would not effect them but moisture would.Pär Hessler
ParticipantI would recommend Ableton Live for remixing.
Reason is more of a production from scratch program IMO.
Ableton Live is as I know it the most common tool for DJs who does mach ups and remixes….Here is a 30day free trial of that:

ParticipantIt seems to me lika a hardware issue.
Do you have a friend who has another controller you could test swapping controller.
Otherwise if you can, claim your warranty….
If you are not under warranty, ask in a store if you can test an other mixtrack pro on your computer there to be sure
then if it is as I suppose a hardware issue, try to get an offert (prise) of what it would cost to repair the unit.
Then ask yourself if it is worth repairing or if you should buy an other controller….That is how I would have done anyway.

ParticipantAre you sure that you have the latest driver for Audio 4 DJ?
http://co.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=freeupdates#Audio_4_DJ
And Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 Installer PatchOther than that I do think you should ask at Native Instruments site:

ParticipantVinnyBlanc, post: 10287 wrote: I have a copy of Virtual DJ LE that I installed (but never registered the serial #). Is this copy considered “used” or can I still gift it to someone else sense I did not register it?
If you did not register it scould be fine to gift it to someone else IMO.

ParticipantThe VDJ LE is only shiped with hardware and is not sold separatly.
The only way to get a copy is in second hand market if someone sells a copy they do not use.
For example if someone is using Traktor instead. The home edition of VDJ is free to DL from their site on the other hand:

ParticipantShanks, post: 10241 wrote: Having recently bought myself a nice shiny Mixtrack pro, I today also got myself a pair of amplified monitor speakers (QTX QR5B) , they are described as one powered speaker and one slave speaker.
Ive managed to get everything working fine, except the slave speaker is silent !!. Ive checked the cables, connections etc. Can anyone help as I think im being slightly stupid
thanks.
As I see there is an output on the powered speaker that shall be connected + and – or red/black to the slave speaker.
If it is connected and you get no sound, try with another cable if possible.
If that does not work something is broken and you should return/ claim warranty on those speakers IMO. -
