I am sorry to nag at you but I feel sad when I see that you are about to do somthing in my oppinion stupd that I do think you will regret.

Therefore I will give it one more try:

There are filterknobs on the MC6000 that has buttons below to activate/deactivate so that should not be an argument IMO

Can you confirm that you have the latest SW upgrade from Denon and that you have tried the .TSI that is included??
The older .TSI that comes with the MC6000 is not that intiutive but IMO the new one for T2 is very good!

The sound quality on MC6000 is IMO the best on the market, I am convinced that you will not gain in soundquality if you get an S2/S4.

The wight is IMO a good thing as I would not be satisfied with a unit that wobbles arround all over the place when I push a fader to the top as I have seen in promo videos for both S4 and Pio units!

The S2/S4 is very good units that is very tight to Traktor but IMO they do not have the best quality as MC6000 has!
I felt it as soon as I touched the unit and asked the rep. Shall it feel like this or is this a pre sample?
It was not a pre sample……

So you should really try them before buying and if you want some help with LED output I could try to hook you up with a friend of mine who has done some serious mapping on his MC60000

I recommend you to stick with your MC6000 and get an X1 for more knobs in EFX….

Also the latest SW upgrade for MC6000 gives you full controll over sample decks!
have you upgraded to latest SW?? There is a TSI file that comes with it……

I would recommend you to also take a look at Denon MC3000 or MC6000 before deciding….

They are IMO a bit better in quality than S2/S4…

I think the best is to have both a DJ and a band.

There are two sides of this that you write about.

    1. Traktor is a powerfull software that has a lot of features.
The backside of that is that it takes a little time to learn if you shall be able to
use the full power of it. But if you do IMO it is the best DJ prog out there.
If you give it some time and read the manual and even buy a copy of the Traktor Bible
then I do think that you will like it….

    2. If you like Serato Intro and it works for you and you do not miss any funktion
Then why not stick with that and sell you copy of T2 or even try to return it and get your money back?

If thanks to digital DJing more people getting able to dj, and more people having acces to gears, then there will be more competition. In the end, being a good DJ will not be about who has the best, most expensive and impressive gear, but about who gives the best parties. I think that’s the fear most CDJs are having now.

That is totally wrong! The fact is that the ordience and clubs only suffer from kids who wants to be cool and plays for themself and not for the ordience! And to compete with a kid that has not payed for his music/sw and that does play for nothing is not the easiest, because most club/barowners I know has no knowlage about music/gear or how a good or bad DJ sounds like. He only count the money spent on DJs every week. The DJ who takes zero money in sallary is the best DJ to him! It is for me not a good thing that more people are being able to DJ because they have no barriers and nothing to struggle with today and that is not a good thing. It is too easy and to cheap to become a DJ these days IMO.

But am I right in thinking the fx are pre-fade? So far the Numark is the only controller I have read about with post-fade FX.
I’m lead to believe you can fake it in Traktor using some pretty heavy hacking, but sounds a bit involved for me. I just love delay..

I think you’re right, there is a way around it and that is to get an external efx box.
pioneer EFX 1000 or some else.
EFX 1000 shold be able to find on the 2nd hand market for a good prize I think
I sold mine a while ago for under 1/2 the prize of a new one….
    Or 2 x SC2000 and an X1600 mixer??

I am pissed of at people comparing entery level toys to Pro DJ gear!
So try comparing a little mor fair.
DJ ergo is a toy IMO and should be compared to entery level CD players
as Numark CD Mix1 or some American Audio entery level CD players.
Just because it stands Pioneer on the unit it is not pro gear anymore!
In fact their controllers is not amongst the best at all IMO.

Also I have been playing Vinyl and bought the Denon DN-D2000F
in a very early state, but I think the Digital is not really as pro as CD players or media
players such as Denon S3700 or Pio DJM2000 so I will proberbly stick to my S3700/X1700
together with the MC6000 for a long time before going all digital.

There is IMO some good reasons why Vinyl and CD playing DJs have negative attitude towards digital DJs.
As there is some of them using cheap laptops with cheap toy controllers, pirated Traktor SW and stolen music
so the laptop has to be restarted several times at giggs and they uses the auto sync button only because they does not know how to beatmatch properly. Those guys are really destroying for us serious DJs when they play for no money IMO!
I don’t care if you use a DJ Ergo or Pio CDJ2000 but if your laptop does not work properly and you have to restart it
or you do not pay for music and software. Or if you use the autosync just because you do not know how to beatmatch and does not use the extra time to be creative then you are not a “real” DJ in my world!
Also if it souds bad it is bad IMO!

CDJ 2000 kan be linked together for a number of functions.
One is if you put an USB stick in one CDJ2000
both CDJ2000s can read and play tunes from it.
Another reason is that Pio has their own SW called Recordbox.
When used you can read all the usb drives and pull songs to CDJ2000s

There are different solutions to that problem.
There are different backpacks on the market made for this purpose.
Also there are different hardcases MC3000 comes with a rackmount set if you want to
mount it to a rack case, otherwise I do think it will be OK to put it in a case for MC6000
and use some padding to fill the gap.

That would work very well IMO. And I do not believe that your gear has taken any affect by being in your car.

Just think of that any electrical equipment should not been used before reaching room temperature if it has been in
a very hot or cold place. Just take it inside and wait a while before connecting it and you will be fine.
