ParticipantIMO as you put it yourself. The NS6 is rather big and with a V7 on each side it would take much space
If you are about to do some heavy scratching it is adviced to have a 2channel mixer instead of a 4channel mixer because it is a couple of centimeters smaller…. So yes it will limit function/playability and it would be better to grab a 2channel mixer. For some babyscratch and easier scratching you would be fine with the NS6 as a stand alone mixer anyway.
Just for beatjuggeling and advanced scratching it would not be the best option IMO.Try it out and see for yourself and if you think about a mixer take a look at Denon X600 and Rane TTM56S
Rane TTM56S is the No1 for scratch but the Denon X600 is also very good for that purpose and has built in efx.Pär Hessler
ParticipantQuote”With VDJ Home you can’t use a controller”
Sorry, I Didn’t know that….:-OPär Hessler
Participant?? VDJ Home is free to DL.
http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.htmlJust DL and use it otherwise you need to upgrade your traktor LE to Traktor 2 Duo or Traktor 2 Pro
It is reduced price on pro (not Duo) when you upgrade from LE.

ParticipantYou can have both softwares installed on your laptop but you can not use them both at the same time!
You will have to shut one down before lounching the other…..Pär Hessler
ParticipantGonkboy.
You really need to carefully read the manual for your S2 and for Traktor pro IMO.
Then I suggest you get a copy of the Traktor bible.
After that you can start using the S2………
That way you will get the most out of your equipment and software and you would not have to be upset by such things you just did.
Your problem will accor again if you start Traktor before the S2 is connected and started because then Traktor will not find your S2 soundcard and therefore it will chose the internal soundcard of your PC.//DJ Hessler

ParticipantWell as you call yourself Björn I think you understand Swedish.
As we call Behringer Billinger in Sweden is because what you suggested in your post.
(Billinger would be cheapinger in English)
that it should be high quality. Trust me it is not! You get what you pay for
(except Pio where you pay 30-40% for the logo IMO)
If you are low in budget you should try the Numark Mixtrak Pro that is the only deasent low budget controller IMO
But bear in mind it still is a low budget controller! That lacks some features and buttons and has not the best soundcard, not the best hardware and plastic cheap feel over all. Still a much better choice than Billinger IMO.
If you have a budget and want quality you should take a look at the Denon MC6000/30000
And if you do not know what a joggwheel is for you should try to find out!
IMO I can not believe people buy gear that has no joggs and if to use 4 cannnels I would need 4 joggs.
Joggwheel is used (on a controller) to scroll in your music lib.., to pitchbend/nudge, to search for cue points, to make backspinns,to stop the sound, to scratch, to bring in efx. and so on……….
It is a very essential tool for a DJ IMO among the absolute most must have things on a DJ gear
There is soo much you simply just can not do if you do not have a good joggwheel and you lack some good creativityoptions too.Pär Hessler
ParticipantPhil! MC3000 has no EQ for the Mic! (Not the broadband echo either that the MC6000 has)

Don’t suppose you tried any of these Papa?
??
Denon is a brand that makes various controllers.
Itch is a software, not a controller
Reloop is a brand that makes several controllersCould you narrow the selection a bit? Then we will be able to help/suggest.

ParticipantI Wish you god luck 🙂

ParticipantGet a copy of the Traktor bible, it is well worth the money.

ParticipantThe MC 6000 is the only controller that matches your demands!
I thought for about 10 minutes that it was cramped then I did not!
An other option would be 2x SC2000 and a Nixer X600 or X1600/x1700….Pär Hessler
ParticipantThe NS6 is good but it has one gripe, It is an ITCH controller!
It is not a good controller to run Traktor on as the layout is for ITCH!If you are about to run it on ITCH, go for it otherwise the Denon MC 6000 is a better choice IMO!

ParticipantYes Amen to that!
Get a pair of K12s and one KSub and you will be able to rock a crowd of up to about 300 ppl
get a second K sub anf you will be able to rock about 500ppl
I was playing new years eve in a place that takes about 1000 – 1500 ppl but there was only aprox 200ppl there
My 2 K12 and 1Ksub was playing about 50% and that was more than enough!Pär Hessler
ParticipantI do not have one but I always has paper and a pen and make one by hand if asked for….
