Warning! if you buy on ebay Denon does not support your purchase and you will not get warranty nether be able to download upgrades for software in the MC6000.

Use google to fingd an authorised Denon dealer……

If you are uncerten if it is authorised ask at the Denon DJ forums.

Design looks good but Behringer is known for their low quality, so try before buy on these is my tip!

Not easy to answer if you do not tell what country you are in??

In the manual for the VCI 100 MK2 on page 28 If you look at number 28 Mix
There is a knob in the front of the unit between the 27 master output and 29 monitor level.
With this knob you can mix the sound from master and the sound from cue.
Try setting it to either zero or 100% and see if that might be the one making trouble?

DN mc6000 – seems my favourite but im terriable with mapping and is it true what i heard, the mapping for this is very poorly done and is not very plug and play?

Pioneer ddj t1 – i really like the layout but the needle search isnt back lit, and seems theres very little choice for attaching cables.

traktor s4 – seems nice but jog wheels seems unnatural location, maybe its the pictures looking that way but seems like that :).

Which one of these could you suggest for fast easy plug and play, and easy to install into a dj booth friendly?

    Thanks.

The MC6000 has been upgraded in software from Denon lately and in the upgrade there is 2 mappings that comes with it in the zip file. 1 for 4deck and 1 for 2 deck + 2 sample decks. Both of the mappings are very well done.
There is also different mappings to be DL for free on the Traktor Bible site if you are not satisfied with the ones that comes from Denon.
    http://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/mappingsflavour.aspx?flavour=t2

When the MC6000 was lounched there was only mappings for Traktor1 and none for Traktor 2.*
And that was terrible for using with Traktor2.

So it is not true at all! Denon MC6000 is very much plug & play.
Also if you go for the MC6000 I will be here covering all your Qs ;-))

Pioneer ddj T1 you should take one more try on before buying as it is not the quality we are used to from Pio IMO
    just the pricetag 🙁

The NI S4 is good if you want plug and play with Traktor. But NI is a software company (meaning that they are not as good on hardware as for example Denon IMO) the s4 is more plastic and not as good hardware knobs and buttons as the MC60000.

    Comparsion between S4 and MC6000

Advice: take a look at Denon MC30000 as well it is also a good controller……

And try them all in a store before buying!!!

    @Mark
I will now try to answer your Qs

    > First Question – Other then the two extra channels on the VMS4 compared to its VMS2, what else does the
S4 offer that the S2 cant?
    Here is an comparsion chart:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-kontrol-s2/?page=2901

    > Also, there is a more expensive Traktor verison of the VMS4, is it really worth the £100 price diff? also have heard
there have been alot of people that have problems with the VMS4?
This q is not so easy for me to answer, as a beginner I think no, but if you are serious about your DJing it might not take long before you want to have the 4track or more, look at the comparsion chart:
    http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/dj/traktor-pro-2/?page=1991

    >The control I know the least about is the Vestax, can anyone advise if good or bad?
That depends on what Vestax you mean, My experience is that Vestax is not that good but I know that there is other people thinking different.

    Hi Mark!

Instead of answering all your q’s I have two other suggestions.

If you really want the MC3000 (wich IMO is the best choice of all above)
and you can not affor it.
Eather look at buying 2x Denon SC2000 and a Traktor certified mixer
(Denon x600) list of some of the certified units:
    http://co.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=traktorready
    If the cost is OK?

Or you could start with the famous Numark Mixtrak Pro and eather you are satisfied with that or you save up and get a Denon MC3000/6000 in ayear or two 🙂

I will try to answer your questions tmorrow when I do have more time 🙂

I use Denon Music Manager to create waveforms and music libraries to get my USB drives to be faster in my Denon S3700s
This software sux because it does only work with PC! I hope and think Denon will make DMM 2.0 this year so that it works with Mac and that it is possible to link 2 media players together….

I also use Traktor 2 scratch pro so that I can use it with my spare setup MC6000 and my S3700’s if I want.
Traktor because it is more or less the standard in Sweden and the alternatives that works with MC6000 and S3700/X1700
    has no advantages IMO
The cons with this is that it is very timeconsuming if you want to get the most out of it.
Beatgrid in T2 is a real pain in the a%¤ and I hope NI will get it better in T3 some day….

Maybe I will be ready to go with my music in Traktor before 2013 and then give it a try on a smaller party gigg…..

I would say Yes they are both good for your purpose but you might benefit from using Traktor instead of ITCH
(or the other way around as ITCH is more easy to get started with)
You need to ask yourself what software to use and then look at what controllers there is that is good for that software.

If you come to the conclution that you want Traktor (as it is the most common) there is NI S4/S2 Denon MC6000/3000
And the new Numark 4Trak that is in the top segment IMO

Itch is Numark NS6 and Twitch
(wich I personly don’t like because the lack of joggs but that is my oppinion the quality is good)

Out of these three I would drop the reloop at once.
It is not in the same segment when it comes to quality!
As for the MC3000/S2 you have already cleard out wich of them that is the best in terms of quality.

Try all three yourself in a store befor buying but my suggestion is to forget the reloop as it is so far from the others in terms of quality.

I have also usesd Denon gear since the Denon DN-D2000F.
Many times I have looked at other gear and found it to be disapointing in one way or another
so I constantly end up buying Denon again. Because of the good quality/good price I find it great value for money compared to others that eather has lower quality or equal quality but too high price IMO.
