Hmm, I think I’ll buy Mixvibes Cross and try it out, I always hear positive things about it.

Not always true, I remember djing at a lounge and I didn’t get paid until everyone left especially on New Years. I didn’t get home till 8 am because people didn’t want to leave and we close at 4 am. Don’t you just hate it when people don’t want to leave especially when you’re done playing music.

Don’t we all know it :).

Unfortunately they do :(. Digital dj tips need to do an article on that, but I’ll work on my “Stay Away from me” look for this Saturday gig.

Do your best and get into the zone (Place wear you can’t hear or see anything but the music). I love getting into the zone, it is when a dj is at his best until some randomly guy/girl comes up and as for a request or the question we all hate “What music do you have?” that’s basically when you lose the zone.

Start out with music you like. When I started djing I started out with hip hop because I liked hip hop, then from their I just got better.

I think the American Audio VMS4. is Perfect
Mixtrack Pro 2 will get the job done
You should be able to afford the Numark N4, which is what I use which could be perfect.
Mixtack Pro itself will get the job done
And Reloop might have one that can get the job done

Don’t get me wrong equipment is critical for sound quality but the equipment doesn’t make the dj, so if you’re a good dj that can rock a crowd any of those above will be good for you.

Mr. C the Slide Man- Cha Cha slide pt 2
Bell Biv Devoe- Poison (I think the remix version is the one every dj plays)
    Black Street- No Diggity
Marcia Griffiths- Electric boogie (Aka the Electric Slide)
Luther Vandross- Never too much (Can’t go wrong with Luther Vandross)
Lisa Lisa- Wonder if I take you home
Mariah Carey ft. Old Dirty Bastard- Fantasy

Question? Can’t you just buy an TRL to XLR cord? And what type of controller are you using?

One thing I take with me is my dj portfolio, business cards and a bag of candy.

As to gear, I take just about a spare of everything or something to replace another, if my computer doesn’t work I better have a cd players with cds.

If you think the software will help you do a better job then maybe you’re not cut out to be a dj no offense.

Hold on a sec, the Numark N4 is a great 4 deck dj controller. Yes it’s made out of plastic but that is just about the bad thing about it. The and N4 is also a stand alone mixer(So you can add turn tables or cdj if you want), it works with virtual dj, traktor and serato dj intro(serato dj this summer). Don’t listen or read bias reviews just because djs have one thing and don’t have the other. If you really want to know what you want to get you have to do research on websites. Every controller has it’s ups and downs no controller is better than any controller out there. Only the dj makes best of what he/she can do with their equipment.

I like to show you proof, here is me using the Numark N4 with music videos

If you want me to show you a more in depth video of me djing on the numark n4 let me know.

Same here, Serato Dj was scheduled to be on the N4 during winter, not they just moved it to summer. I don’t understand what is taking so long especially seeing that serato intro works with it already.
