Member^ Thats what im wondering and what other businesses have done in the past. Im pretty sure my owners dont even know what theyre are going to do yet.
I dont get paid per set or hr, its just based off the amount of people I bring in so if people keep rolling in till we close, I bank off themDJ Boi Loko

Im the only DJ and there the whole time so I dont worry about exposure time but I DJ from 10 till 4am and with the time change, thats a 7hr set! I have another close friend that that DJs not to far from me for a club and he is wondering the same thing as far as what others do and what has been done in the past about it

MemberAt the hookah lounge I spin at, if its a dead night like 4 people or less i’ll throw on a playlist but once more people start showing up I jump back on the tables or if im having technical problems i’ll do it just in case it takes longer than a songs length to fix what ever is going on

I miss the convenience of having a smoke while I play, but don’t miss the smell, I’ve also found I smoke a helluva lot less not exactly being able to run away from the decks for 5-10 minutes (I’ve tried it, it’s hard)
Shit like your laptop and headphones aren’t really going to be out long enough to take any real damage, the decks and mixer cop it so bad from being there every night, every weekend for a long time.
In the U.S. there are indoor hookah cafes that are becoming more popular and they are the few places where you can smoke inside but only hookah, not cigarettes but some city’s don’t allow them at all

MemberI DJ at a Hookah Cafe and I wipe down all my equipment the next day. Its primarly the fog machine residue that gets on my equipment over the hookah smoke.

Do you use the SL-DZ1200’s much? I hear people rubbishing them quite often.
Also, does anybody know if the RP-DH1200 cans are still made? I only see RP-DJs on sale these days….
pssl.com has them, here is the link

MemberIve been in the same boat about mac or pc till the other day when i talked it ovre with a computer nerd friend of mine. He showed me that for the price of a decent mac, you can have a laptop built for the same price that is 2-3 times better than the mac which made me think, is the mac just a style thing or a must have for DJs? Or is it acceptable by high upper class DJs to DJ on a pc that is just a good or better performance wise?
