There are *so* many ways to write bass lines ,from funky to electro, from arpeggiators to freeform. What I tried to say was that in order to mask the original bass most likely you will have a hard time eq:ing out, make something similar.
out of so many ways give me 1 simple example if possible.

I don’t know the original track but what I would do is to just do some gentle EQ to take down the original bass line and write a new one that complements the old ones so they work in tandem.
yes good. now please tell me how should i make a easiest start of writing a new one that compliments the old one?

Participanti want to do pre mixing. I am trying to use audacity but dont know how to technically check the speed of a particular region of a song. Any other software or way, please mention.

Participanti just want to join 2 or more songs. But the category of songs is that all the songs start slow and end up really fast. The songs are like mix compilation of 30 mins or more. Now for eg. I have song a and b. Song a is divided in a1, a2 and a3 according to the speed. Song b is also divided in b1, b2 and b3. Now i wanna join a3 and b3. But i dont know if the speeds are closer or not. Now i dont want the final song when played is playing fast and then gets slower when u dance just because b3 was slower than a3 (assuming a3 attached before b3) and i coudnt hear the difference while joining.
Thts example of 2 pieces but i want to join many more like that and when the songs go fast it is really difficult to join them.
I was wondering if there is any software where i can select a region of a song and check the bpm or speed only for that region.
I hope i explained well but if any thing not understandable i will try to make it simpler.Bhavesh Lakhani

If however your question is only a step, a start, and you are looking to be more involved in this stuff then yea, you need a DAW.
If that’s the case, it has been often said that noone can actually argue about the “best” DAW. Reaper, Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Logic, Sonar – they are all equally capable and the difference lies in the workflow and “mindset” of each program. Only the person who has the “vision” can really decide what the tools to realize this “vision” will be! 😉My strictly personal opinion: Logic for Macs, Sonar for PCs – I repeat this is a personal selection not an “end all, be all” best software suggestion.
thanks so much for that answer.

Participantyes but the thing with the itch is that u dont have to do all of that and i dont even see those settings in the setup. Dont know what to do

Participantaudacity works on mac too. So you are trying to say audacity is much simpler than daw softs?
And either way i own a pc too so if there is a good software u can always suggest.
By the way i have installled reaper yesterday and will try to move hands from today.
I would prefer a software where i can get video or pdf tutorial and get on it easily. -
