OK, so I had a bit of Scratch Therapy lastnight on my freshly repaired crossfader, and guess what happened? After about half an hour the crossfader went strange again, for no apparent reason deck B came in with the fader all the way to the left again. But then rectified itself!?!?! I’m confused and a little P’d off now, could this be an issue with Serato or have I really got an absolute lemon from Reloop here 🙁

    Help

    Nice one Raiden, i’m also a D&B man 🙂

I have found (in Serato) that some of the analysed tracks are not exactly spot on with the BPM (or the grids for that matter). Some of the tracks I also recently got from Beatport (dave owen) are a few BPM’s out, and they are already analysed when purchased!

Try not to rely on the BPM count too much and learn to do it by ear, in the long run it will serve you well.

I’m a Mac user but i should imagine you need to switch the input device from internal mic to external source or something like that. As Chuck says it sounds like you are recording the environment (with the built in Mic)

I could be talking complete tosh though not being a PC guy hahahaha

Well, Reloop have now repaired my TM2 crossfader at there UK facility. Not plugged it in yet to test properly but the fader feels the same all the way across left to right so that’s a good start.

Will give it a proper Hip Hop test tonight and hopefully have nothing more to report on the matter.

Feels good to have it back home though 🙂

Just phoned them back to let them know about the stiffness.

Reloop now want it back with THEM to Re-replace the fader. I think I would like a new unit!

    🙁

Got a text 20 mins after i phoned and complained saying: “your repaired item is now ready for collection”

And now the fader is stiffer over to the right than it is the left!!! I’ll see if it beds in but i think it may be going back again soon.

Just called them, and nobody has even looked at it yet. To say I am not very happy is an understatement of epic proportions 🙁

In fact, my intro to Digital is not going very smoothly at all!

I am a graphic artist by day Terry, and do a lot of work for Kia.

They are very good cars these days, but maybe they should offer a “anti marten gnarl” option for the Sportage hahaha

Yes i hope it does, I am waiting for the call as we speak

Even though I scratch a little, I am very easy on my CF knowing that back in the day it was always the weak link/first thing to fail in the set up. And as I said, after only 60 hours use is not very impressive.

But like you say Terry, maybe just a Lemon?!? And I feel better knowing it is just a straight swap with no soldering involved.

Shame I could not use it at all the Christmas period when I was off work, had lots of ideas and stuff I wanted to try…..whilst my controller was sitting in a warehouse 🙁 Good job i’m not a real DJ with paying gigs!

    Happy New Year chaps

    Sean.

Cheers guys, i updated the firmware about 3 weeks ago. And it was a proper ball ache, so i’m hoping i don’t have to do that too often to be honest haha
